To all readers:Mike said this:Quote No where in scripture is Jesus ever worshiped.I have shown this to Mike before, see for yourself if no where in scripture is Jesus ever worshiped:Matt 2:1-2 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,2 Saying, Where is he…[Read more]

BD,you said:Quote The problem Kathi is that the word lord has nothing to do with being “God” a lord means someone who is n charge or an owner such as a Land lord, your problem is thinking lord has a super natural meaning and it doesn't so Jesus could be lord without being God in any sense. But God is the Lord God Meaning that The Only True God…[Read more]

Mike, you said:Quote Where does scripture say no man has ever HEARD Jehovah? And where does scripture say any man has SEEN Him?Did you mean to ask: “Where does scripture says that any man has heard Jehovah?”Moses heard and saw Him.Exodus 33:9 Whenever Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent;…[Read more]

Mike,Regarding:1 Timothy 613 In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you 14 to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only R…[Read more]

BD,Look at the verse:John 17:1Jesus spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You, 2even as You gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life. 3“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only tru…[Read more]

Gene,It depends on the context. I see two on the highest throne and the rest surrounding the throne. All with the Spirit are a unity of sorts but not all are in unity as the supreme authority. I believe that the Father and the Son are in unity as our supreme authority. Do you believe that you will be a member of those in supreme authority or a…[Read more]

Again, Pierre, your problem is with scripture. I put the scripture right there for you to show you that Jesus called Himself and His Father “US” and then bolded it to help you see it. I do not know what your problem is here. I don't really understand completely what you just wrote.
Lightenup replied to the topic Delusions in the forum Truth or Tradition 13 years, 10 months ago
Pierre,Jesus calls He and the Father an “US” and we are one in that “US” (Father and Son). We (the body of Christ-not the body with Christ) are in THEM, both of THEM!John 17:20“I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; 21that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, t…[Read more]

Mike,I did, in the past, assume Moses was saying about the triune God, that He was one being, yet three persons, and as one being, He was both the God of gods and the Lord of lords. I never really considered anything other than the triune God at that time, nor did I dig into the scriptures and do an in-depth study on my own. Now, I look at…[Read more]

Pierre,I am not calling Christ the 'God of gods,' I am calling the Father the 'God of gods.' I am calling Christ the 'Lord of lords.' Jehovah is both…two persons…Father (God of gods) and Son (Lord of lords).BTW, Did you ever wonder why the Son felt like He needed to subject Himself? Hasn't He always been subject to the…

But Mike,You are the one that has been taking it literally and saying that we only have one God and it is not Jesus. What I'm saying is that there is a scriptural context where we have one Lord and He is not the Father. I believe that particular scripture clarifies Deut 10:17 where we are told that Jehovah is the God of gods and the Lord of lords.…[Read more]

Pierre,So, the God of gods has more authority than the Lord of lords…Jehovah is still both of them. You may have given your child everything and you are in authority over your child…that is why you are the father and they are not. Still you and your child are part of a unity.

Quote (bodhitharta @ July 09 2012,22:08)So when you talk about God to kathi she has to think to herself “Which God are they talking about?”So what, BD? When we talk to you about the Lord, you have to ask yourself “Which Lord are they talking about?” Is that not true?

BD,1 Cor 8:6 says the Father is our one God and not our one Lord.It just so happens that Jehovah is both our God of gods and Lord of lords…not JUST God of gods.

It is like I never said 'context is king.' Do you guys not understand this expression? What do you think that means?? You both need to review the thread. We have discussed this. Here is a question for you guys: Does 1 Cor 8:6 tell us that our one Lord is Jesus Christ or the Father?

Ha, William, those were funny! Here-this made me laugh:A SHORT HISTORY OF MEDICINE:”Doctor, I have an ear ache.”2000 BC – “Here, eat this root.”1000 BC – “That root is heathen, say this prayer.”1850 AD – “That prayer is superstition, drink this potion.”1940 AD – “That potion is snake oil, swallow this pill.”1985 AD – “That pill is ineffective,…[Read more]

Pierre, I'm not changing that. Obviously, Your conflict is with your lack of understanding, not with me. The Father and Son remain the Father and Son. What many people here don't understand is what they are together. 1 Cor 8:6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by…[Read more]

The point Pierre, is to show that Jehovah is not only the Father but also the Son! We are to worship Jehovah (both the Father AND the Son).
