t8you said:Quote I am saying that the Word in God was brought forth to be with him.Did that 'Word' always exist within God before it was brought forth to be with Him? Are God's attributes as eternal as He is?Was there ever a time when God lacked one or two or more of His attributes according to you?

Quote (t8 @ Mar. 26 2013,02:40)Also, I am not saying I preexisted. I don't know where you get half this stuff. You keep saying that you are going to have the nature of a god like Jesus someday but now you say you didn't pre-exist your flesh so tell me how are you going to be like the theos who pre-existed His flesh if you didn't pre-exist your…[Read more]

jb2uSorry, not offense intended, just concern because I see you taking a serious wrong turn.Read Psalm 89:6For who in the skies is comparable to the LORD? Who among the sons of the mighty is like the LORD, 7A God greatly feared in the council of the holy ones, And awesome above all those who are around Him? 😯 LORD…[Read more]

Yes, Kerwin, this is genealogical but it is talking about those who came before 'her' (Deborah), her ancestors. The 'root of her' does not include her as the 'root.' She is not an ancestor to the branch mentioned here, she is a sister to the branch apparently according to what Gill says. So even though the root is genealogical, it is not used as…[Read more]

No, I am saying that in the beginning there were two who were theos (so does John and Ignatius…John 1:1). One of those theos sent the other theos to become flesh and from that time, the other theos was not just theos but theos AND man.

t8,You confuse that which always existed and was brought forth by another with that which didn't always exist but was made to exist by another. There is no comparison, sorry. Hopefully you will someday realize that you have not always existed. If you did then everyone pre-existed their flesh and not just Jesus.

Both cells are the same type…The Father and the Son are both the same type of person, the mighty God type. Together they are even mightier.

Quote (t8 @ Mar. 26 2013,01:25)Kathi, even that does not mean that JEsus is YHWH the Most High God.Jesus said, 'ye are theos'. There you go. If they can be 'theos' then how much more Jesus. And if angels are elohim, then would not someone greater also be and that much more. You see, either way you lose the debate. For us there is one God the…[Read more]

I didn't say that the verse said that Jesus is also the only true God. I was giving you another way of understanding Jesus' intent. What I said in other words is that it is true that Jesus is not only true God because He was both true God/Man at that time. This is the only way that the Father could be the only true God when comparing Him to Jesus,…[Read more]

Kerwin,I am asking you to use the word 'root' in 'root of Jesse,' from Isa 11, in the same way that Hebrew word used there for 'root' is used when you refer to Jesus as the 'root of Jesse.' I gave you a list of where that particular Hebrew word is used in the OT and asked if you could show me in any of those verses where the Hebrew word means what…[Read more]

This verse can be read in more than one way:John 17:3Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.1. The Father is the true God, Jesus is the true God/Man. The Father is not true God/Man. Jesus is not only true God, He is the true God/Man.2. Jesus is making a contrast, not between the Father…[Read more]

That is a complete misuse of the teaching about removing the plank in your own eye before removing the speck in your brother's eye. The plank and speck are both not true in that teaching.Matthew 71“Judge not, that you be not judged. 2For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. 3…[Read more]

Also, btw, Thomas agrees with Ignatius by calling Jesus his Lord and his God.

The early fathers, when using the flame illustration, speak of eternally emitting from the source and that there never was a time that the flame did not emit from the source. I believe their point is you can't have one without the other, like you can't have a father without there being an offspring in existence for as long as the father was a…[Read more]

t8,You are not getting that I speak of two powers of YHWH.Cell (a) is the first power of YHWH in the illustration.Cell (b) is the second power of YHWH in the illustration. The first power of YHWH (cell a) brought out of Him the second power of YHWH (cell b). Cell B is identically the same as Cell A except it is a different cell. In other words,…[Read more]

No you don't Mike. If you truly believed that your heavenly Father existed from eternity, you would believe in an eternal Son.

Mike,Quote Because the scriptures I know about speak of Jesus having origins “from days of old”, and being the “firstborn of every creature”, and being “the beginning of the creation by God”, etc.And you do not understand ANY of those things accurately, imo.
