@GeneBalthrop
Hi Gene, I agree that a group of human created gods would be false and not part of a God head. However, maybe you remember that I believe that Jesus was not created but always existed within the Father before the cosmos was created. The Father possessed Him at the beginning of His (the Father’s) way. He has always been around.What…[Read more]

Hi Bo, it is good to talk with you too! Thanks for your patience 🙂You write about knowing the only true God and I think that if you knew the only true God, you would know the offspring part of Him also…the one He sent-Jesus. You deny the offspring part of God and cannot truly know God as “the Father,” imo.

Why would anyone have a problem with the term godhead for two persons who are called theos and share dominion over all creation? No, Nick, no confusion, Rev 5 makes it crystal clear that there are two persons, not just one, that share the dominion over all created things and the two are both referred to as theos.
Thanks for the…[Read more]

So every THEOS can find a role in your order of things.
Only two who we need to follow, matter to me, Nick. The Father and the Son.

Both times would be true of a definition of the term ‘godhead’ that means-the authority that has dominion over all created things.Lightenup replied to the topic Does 1 Peter 2 imply that Jesus is God? in the forum Truth or Tradition 11 years, 7 months ago
Truth is truth, no matter who speaks it Nick. Scripture tells us who has dominion over all created beings. That would be the Father AND the Son. The truth of a Godhead, i.e. those with ultimate dominion over creation, has been established in this scripture. Words can have slightly different meanings depending on contexts, Nick.
We have:

The definition that I gave is suitable to its use. Jesus has full authority in heaven and on earth over all created things. So does the Father.Lightenup replied to the topic Proclaimer vs Lightenup in the forum Debates 11 years, 7 months ago
@t8
you said:Jesus is not called theos as God is.
I completely disagree with your statement. I think maybe you confuse the relationship of the persons with the ultimate innate nature required to be God. I believe they both contain the same innate nature (eternal nature) which makes one theos. It is the Father’s position as a father to a son that…[Read more]

A godhead would be an authority made up of all of those with eternal dominion over all created beings for ever and ever.

It is not theory, we all agree that the two persons who are given all dominion for ever and ever are both called a theos. The term ‘godhead’ is completely applicable. No need to take on the church about that…go for unity. That is Jesus’ prayer for us.

Please follow along…only two called god are acknowledged to have dominion forever by every created thing. Can you name them?Lightenup replied to the topic Does 1 Peter 2 imply that Jesus is God? in the forum Truth or Tradition 11 years, 7 months ago
@t8
@NickHassan
So we have the facts that we agree on:
The Father and the Son are two persons who are referred to as theos somewhere in scriptures and those two persons are both given, by every created thing, the honor of having the blessing, and the honour, and the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever.That represents a godhead, my…[Read more]

you saidLI already bow to him.
He is my Lord.
But his God is my God.
That is good that you bow to two who are identified as a theos in scripture, Nick.

you said:Since you have appointed him a god then perhaps you and other religious folk who do not know his God, the Father.
Were you done with your thought? Or were you just getting started? Did you want to complete your statement?
