Try again…I didn’t ask how many are in authority over Jesus. I asked:
So you don’t think that two persons have dominion over all creation for ever and ever?
Rev 5:13
And every created thing which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all things are in them, heard I saying, Unto him that s…[Read more]Lightenup replied to the topic Does 1 Peter 2 imply that Jesus is God? in the forum Truth or Tradition 11 years, 7 months ago
You can use the term for what I believe “the Jehovah Doctrine” with the understanding that Jehovah is the name of the God of gods and Lord of lords. The Jehovah who is called God our Father and the Jehovah who is called our Lord Jesus Christ both share the dominion over all creation and both share the character, essence and name -Jehovah.

Go ahead and laugh yourself silly, t8. I don’t even use the term binity to describe what I believe. I also don’t teach that God is two. I do teach that two who are both called theos in scripture share the dominion over all created things for ever and ever though…you will find that in Rev 5.

you said:Whatever is OF GOD
is NOT GOD
The true eternal offspring is the same kind of being as His Father…and thus the Son is the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, the invisible God…The only begotten God has come to explain God, His Father.

True, and He is with the person who is called theos in scripture, and this theos is who the Christians refer to as our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Hi Kerwin,
you asked:What passages are you using to conclude God has always been a Father?

you asked:Indeed the Word was with God.
Was Jesus???
Yes, before He was given the name Jesus, He was God with God in the beginning.

Here is a must answer question for you:
Of all the persons who are called theos in scripture, how many have dominion over all creation forever and ever?If you can answer that correctly, then you will hold on to those persons as being the persons who are called theos who are for us. Paul mentions only two persons who are for us, btw. One is…[Read more]

terraricca,
1.Do you admit that it is written in scriptures that Jesus is called a theos? yes or no
2. Do you admit that it is written in scriptures that every knee will bow to Him and confess that He is Lord to the Glory of God the Father? yes or no

Hi Nick,
The Word was the Jehovah of hosts that Peter identifies as Jesus who was the eternal life that was with the Father in the beginning. You are missing this.Rev 19:13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.
Here we have the Word of Jehovah identifying Himself as ‘Jehovah’ and being called ‘Lord…[Read more]Lightenup replied to the topic Does 1 Peter 2 imply that Jesus is God? in the forum Truth or Tradition 11 years, 7 months ago

I’m sorry but I have no idea of what you are rambling on about regarding how the “I” is used. You seem to be saying that it is more about arrogance vs. humility. Yes, we are to accept what He is with fear and trembling. We are to proclaim the truth boldly. Your ‘truth’ is not inline with scriptures, imo. Those in the basement/under…[Read more]

Sons can always exist?
It is a strange concept to think that anyone had always existed but how would a person exist as Father if there were no offspring always belonging to Him? If the Son did not always exist, the Father did not always exist as Father.
There was only one son that always existed and it is the theos who is the…[Read more]Lightenup replied to the topic Does 1 Peter 2 imply that Jesus is God? in the forum Truth or Tradition 11 years, 7 months ago
Really, counting my use of a personal pronoun is your response to my testimony and the evidence to your idolatrous ways as you pray in the name of a created being, etc?
You even do it hypocritally as you state what you believe and use the same amount of “I’s” in your statement. Does anyone see the irony of this?

I believe the Son always existed you believe that He didn’t. That is probably the root of our main differences. I don’t believe that scripture is in your favor. I see Jesus as identified as Jehovah of hosts by Peter and the NT identifies Jesus with the same titles as Jehovah in the OT. Also, as the wisdom in Prov 8:22, the Father…[Read more]
