Regarding the depravity of all men:
*Isa 64:6 For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.*Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.

Hi Nick,
Yep, the person of Jesus always existed within the Father. Before the foundation of the world and before man was created or even sinned, it was decided that He would come and redeem us if necessary.

@kerwin,
you said:We receive of God by faith that he the Promised One but it was put on him because he was chosen and God takes pleasure in him
His ‘sonship’ was not ‘put on Him.’ His position as the Messiah was put on him…He was always possessed by the Father as His very own son, but the plan of the Son becoming also the Messiah, was…[Read more]

@kerwin,
Jesus was already the Son of God and someday He was to be acknowledged so by man. Man’s acknowledgement does not make Him the Son of God.We sure do read the same words with a different perspective, kerwin!

@kerwin,
Jesus did not have an evil desire ever even when He asked for another way to redeem man while being deeply grieved and asking the Father for the ‘cup’ to be removed. He simply wanted to know if there were any other way to please the Father and redeem man. That is not evil, it is communication, negotiation. He always wanted the redemption…[Read more]Lightenup replied to the topic Proclaimer vs Lightenup in the forum Debates 11 years, 7 months ago
Furthermore, a thought that God gave me today is for you:
You seem to have a great big problem with people who call Jesus, ‘God.’ These are Jesus’ words for those who had problems with that when He walked among men:
John 10
33The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone you not; but for blasphemy; and because that you, being a…[Read more]

Desires can be good or bad. Jesus was filled with good desires and was encouraged to give birth to those good desires which produced good fruit. He did not have bad desires which when encouraged, give birth to sin. Fulfilling God given good desires is possible and righteous as a human and is what Jesus did. He never had any bad desires.…[Read more]

@t8,
Someday when you are face to face with Jesus and you are giving account for your nasty judgmental words (towards people who worship the Father AND the Son), know that I forgive you.I will continue to worship all persons called theos in scripture that have dominion over all creation for ever and ever. Worry about all the other theos and who…[Read more]

@kerwin,
Perhaps this will explain it better than I can:For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted,…. By Satan, at his entrance on his public ministry, and a little before his death; which was done, not by stirring up sin in him, for he had none, nor by putting any into him, which could not be done, nor could Satan get any advantage…

Do you have a specific thing you want to show me in scripture that does not line up with what I am saying here that is something based on scripture and not the opinion of Nick? Are your opinions rooted in the truth, if so, it should be apparent in your challenge. He was supernatural, remained supernatural, chose to live in the restraints of the natural to become the firstborn from the dead of many brethren. Hi Gene,
Both the first and the second Adam were without sin from the get go. The first Adam gave place to sin, Jesus never did. Therefore, Jesus could be the perfect human sacrifice to redeem mankind.
