    you asked:

if the NT /the gospels don’t state these things how do you assert them?

Jesus came into flesh through the seed of a woman and He is the only one that has defeated the power of death and satan. Do you disagree with that?

Also, Peter writes in 1 Peter 2 that Jesus is the cornerstone, the stone of stumbling that is w…[Read more]

I pray that you and your family, especially Sebastian, will find a peaceful and affective solution to those very difficult matters. I can’t even imagine what you must be going through. May God direct your paths and shed light on your situation in the powerful name of Jesus.

I’m sorry for your terrible struggle. I have wondered if hypnosis would help a person gets a repulsion for whatever they are addicted to or healing in some manner through the method of hypnosis by a Christian therapist. Check out these…[Read more]

Hi Bo, I understand that Jesus isn’t mentioned by the name of Jesus in the OT but He is mentioned by His other names or identities. He is the seed of the woman in Genesis for example. Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

    He is…[Read more]

    Bo,
Do you now see that Jesus is written about in the OT and therefore, the gospel message begins years before Jesus appears in the flesh?

    a must answer question:
Will you please moderate your own forum by deleting the two comments of bodhitharta and terarricca since they went against your own rules for a “by invitation only” debate? Btw, I have asked you more than once to do so.

This is good too, @t8 :

Chap. VI.—Almighty God Begat His Son; And the Testimonies of the Sibyls and of Trismegistus Concerning Him.

God, therefore, the contriver and founder of all things, as we have said in the second book, before He commenced this excellent work of the world, begat a pure and incorruptible Spirit, whom He called His Son. A…

Here is just one of the many mentions of Jesus as the only begotten God in the writings of the early church fathers. This is found in the Constitutions of the Holy Apostles:

XVII. This baptism, therefore, is given into the death of Jesus:2923 the water is instead of the burial, and the oil instead of the Holy Ghost; the seal instead of the…

This understanding, I also share with the writer who lived during the time of the early church:

O Christ, Thou Saviour of the world, merciful Creator and Redeemer, the only offspring from the Godhead of the Father, flowing in an indescribable2123 manner from the heart of Thy Parent, Thou self-existing Word, and powerful from the mouth of…

    Interesting read…

Chap. XXIX.—Of the Christian Religion, and of the Union of Jesus with the Father.

Some one may perhaps ask how, when we say that we worship one God only, we nevertheless assert that there are two, God the Father and God the Son: which assertion has driven many into the greatest error. For when the things which we say s…

Yes, the Father that Jesus speaks about and knows and has always been a part of, is the one true God. The Father that you teach about is different than the one that Jesus speaks about though.

Now about those who break the rules of a debate and post anyway, are you afraid to act as the moderator of your own forum?

So 1-5 is an introduction for the gospel it is beautiful but it is for the sake of the Gospel and not a historical statement otherwise John would literally have been sent from before the beginning, right?

Wrong, the beginning written about in John 1:1 is the same beginning referred to in Gen 1.

Jesus isn’t mentioned in the first c…

Thank you, we are blessed beyond measure!

    you said:

Now as far as John 1:1, there is an automatic tendency to equate that verse to Genesis, because we read about “The beginning” in Genesis we take John 1:1 in the same context but on closer examination it appears John is speaking about Jesus in the context of a not so distant pas…

    Luke 1:2

“Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning (arche) were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word (logos)”

Notice the term “beginning” and “logos” how is it you take this beginning and logos differently from John 1:1?

    The context is different.

    Also, you said:

You think you worship God daily but you never celebrate the incarnation and in fact you deny it’s existence. Do you deny the other miracles of God also and call that worship?

If you believed in the miracle of the incarnation, you could take advantage of Christmas to remind/teach this story of God’s greatest gift to the next…[Read more]

    Once again:
If you think that there is only one true unbegotten God who we call the Father and only one true begotten God whom we call the Son, then just say that you agree to that. If not, then show me how you disagree and why.

Actually, the belief that Christmas is a pagan celebration is a false belief. Some ways that pagans celebrate Christmas are certainly pagan, though. I’m sorry that you don’t realize the freedom to enjoy this wonderful time and opportunity to worship Jehovah in this celebration.

Christmas is a Christian celebration which serves to…[Read more]

I don’t buy this whole idea that females are less important to God. I buy it with some cultures in the world, but not the Kingdom of God.

I agree t8! For instance, a woman can equally receive the Holy Spirit and ‘of’ the Holy Spirit just as a man can. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are for all (regardless of gender) who make Jesus LORD of t…[Read more]
