I do not see it in Isaiah 53:4-12 and since we still die the first death and he did not die the second I cannot see how he took our punishment upon him.

I do believed he died because sin is in the world and so he suffered our just punishment even though he had not earned the wages of sin.

He died to redeem us from serving sin.

Jesus did not take our punishment because even believers still die the first death and Jesus did not die the second death.

He did suffer the same punishment that is due to the rest of humanity because we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God while he did not deserve those wages.
