Hmmm stupid question sorry, i think im just thinking too much!

So, why do people look on a dead Jesus, and what are they thinking (Iv often wondered)

Oh I need to edit what I said above, (kids are distracting me!)It should sayCause iv never personally got that (the dead Jesus on a cross)Jesus was allways alive to me never dead!

Cause iv personally never got that Jesus was alive in my mind

Question: when people pray to the cross with an image of Jesus on it dead, what are they thinking? Do they see Jesus as dead? Or thinking “Jesus died for me” or what? (it is a question)
