Hi Gadam,
John 6:62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? 63 It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
The above scripture is clearly speaking of his resurrection from the grave where he then walked on the earth once more…[Read more]

Jodi replied to the topic in the forum Free Will? 3 years ago
Yep, I still agree with Gene, there is no such thing as having a “free will”.
Gene said, “Your WILL is what your mind “produces”, therefore it is held “captive” by what’s going on “in” your mind.”
Exactly!!
… and what’s going on in your mind is the result of your past experiences, your current state of knowledge/w…[Read more]

Hi Gadam,
Acts 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
If they are not of the world and they are being sent into the world, where are they from?
They are from heaven, in other w…[Read more]

Hi Berean,
I gave you ample scriptures that contradict your belief and you couldn’t respond addressing not even one of them, it is pointless to discuss scripture with you if we can’t go over the same scriptures. Can you tie in the passages you just gave me with the ones that I gave you and show how the word of God is all united?
Yes, Jesus…[Read more]

Hi Gadam,
Thanks for giving your understanding and some of the OT passages you believe are referring to a coming Messiah. Knowing your understanding is helpful in responding to your other post, 891807.
If I interpreted the NT passages that you gave from that post as you do, I would reach the same conclusions as you do, but I don’t. Seems like…[Read more]

Hi Gadam,
Thanks for your reply!
Once again I apologize as I am sure you have gone over this well in other posts but at this point I don’t know the answers to your belief in the below questions so much appreciated if you wouldn’t mind going over them with me.
Does the OT give prophecy to a coming Messiah, if so which prophecies do you believe…[Read more]

Hi Gadam,
The prophets were messengers from God and what about Moses, did he part the Red Sea all by himself? Jesus spoke the words of God just like the prophets and he performed miraculous works like that of Moses. Such was all God’s activity as I see it.

Hi Proclaimer,
My understanding of Luke 2:10-11 is of sound reasoning, the angel was most likely not ignorant of prophecy concerning the child and thus declared that which the child was according to prophecy.
The passage thus does not teach by any means in and of itself that Jesus must have pre-existed.
It is unfortunate that your response does…[Read more]

YOU:
B. Suffering Servant:
Christianity claims that Isaiah chapter 53 refers to Jesus, as the “suffering servant.”In actuality, Isaiah 53 directly follows the theme of chapter 52, describing the exile and redemption of the Jewish people. The prophecies are written in the singular form because the Jews (“Israel”) are regarded as one un…[Read more]
