After Chronicles the next time the word saw-tawn appears is in the book of Job.

Job 2: 4 Satan answered the LORD and said, “Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life. 5 “However, put forth Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh; he will curse You to Your face.” 6 So the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your…[Read more]

    Ed J,

David feared MEN, he had many saw-tawns, and we see through the history in the bible leading up to Chronicles vast numbers of scriptures talking about men and armies being against Israel. I will spare you from listing all of them. Some of these adversaries God himself brought forth out of anger unto Israel.

Judges 3:12 Now the sons of…[Read more]

    Ed J,

The VERY FIRST use of the word saw-tawn in the OT is in regards to God being saw-tawn through His angel unto man.

Numbers 22:22 But God was angry because he was going, and the angel of the LORD took his stand in the way as an adversary against him. Now he was riding on his donkey and his two servants were with him…32 The angel of the L…[Read more]

    Good Morning Ed J,

You said, “So Pilate was serving himself while satan was not? Do I got that right?”

As already mentioned the Hebrew word phonetically pronounced saw-tawn appears in the OT bible and is translated as adversary, accuser, and Satan. When I read saw-tawn in scripture I identify it according to the passage. People read the word…[Read more]

Hi Jodi, “You may not see Satan as an adversary to God but God has higher standards.”

This sort of statement Nick confirms that you are a complete waste of time, as you have not HEARD at all what I have repeated time and time again.”

At this point I don’t think it is necessary to respond to me as I won’t be responding to you anymore directly,…[Read more]

    Hi Jodi,

“You may be impressed by the attitude of Satan to God in Job 1-2 but I see it as lacking respect.

Job2.5..but put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face

And the Lord said to Satan

”Behold he is in THINE HAND, but save his life”

    God does not tempt.”

    Ed J,

The adversary in the book of Job, I claim through direct example of scripture is only an adversary to Job, not an adversary to God.

The adversary asks God for God’s Hand to inflict Job. God grants HIS HAND, clearly the adversary is God’s messenger carrying out God’s will.

    Hi Jodi,

That’s like saying Pilate was God’s messenger carrying ou…[Read more]

    Ed J,

I can totally understand why people dont want to read a long post.

Majority of my long posts use many scriptures, that is why most the time they end up being so long, so it is a very odd statement by you to say they have no substance. I highlight the text in a scripture so if people are skimming through they can extract quickly what the…[Read more]

I have more that I can discuss on the book of Job if need be, I was trying to spare a lengthy post, but I would like to add,

Job 10:17 You renew Your witnesses against me, And increase Your indignation toward me; Changes and war are ever with me. 18 ‘Why then have You brought me out of the womb? Oh, that I had perished and no eye had seen me! 19…[Read more]

Nick you said, “So if you translate angel instead as messenger you can declare that they are human messengers,

then rewrite scripture to suit your dogma? Clever sleight of hand?”

This has got to be one of the more absurd things I have heard you say and it really makes me think that you truly have no idea what you are talking about.

The adversary in the book of Job FOLLOWED God’s commands and brought Job into righteousness. The punishments and infliction brought unto Job are directly said to have come from God. God’s angels bring blessings and cursings through God’s approval, they roam the earth seeking for those that need instruction and refinement.

Where have I denied that saw-tawn doesn’t exist? Quite the opposite TRULY, I have DEFINED saw-tawn through direct scripture, something you have yet to do. To claim that I have denied the existence when in fact I have spent considerably time defining it on this thread, reduces you to nothing more than being a devil yourself. Nice work Nick!!
