I do not know if Scripture mentions Jesus own spirit as the Comforter is more important.
Hi Kerwin,
Jesus’ own spirit *IS* “the spirit of Christ”. If you think differently,
then who is this “other comforter” in this text…“If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and he (God The Father)
shall give you *another…[Read more]Ed J replied to the topic in the forum The Holy Spirit, a separate person, essence of God, or force? 12 years ago
Kerwin,
HIS SOUL WAS THE HOLY SPIRIT!
Hi Carmel,
Jesus’ soul was “the spirit of Christ” – HolySpirit’s Son.

Hi T8,
The people were right when they called out that God had visited His people.
They were used to the ways of God in the prophets and saw beyond the flesh.
Yes Nick,
“Believe me that I in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.” (John 14:11)
The people indeed saw a great light!

1 Timothy 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. This scripture infers that Jesus is God.
T8,
No, it doesn’t infer any such thing? It instead infers that

Hi ED,
The Word was with God and was God.
Jesus did not exist till conceived in Mary.
He became a vessel for the Word at the Jordan
Hi Nick,
Yes I agree with you. But you did not always have this belief.
You did not have this belief when I first joined this forum. So my work here has been a benefit. T8 also now considers

great commentary on the Book of Daniel, one of the most important prophetic books in the Bible
Hi T8,
Not so great if he is wrong.
This video explains EXACTLY what Jesus meant by the proclamation.
…”The time is fulfilled.”
The guy in your video doesn’t know the significance of Daniel 9:24-27, while this guy does.

Wakeup,
I think you were asking someone else the question, but I’ll give my answer as best I can. I haven’t studied the follow passage very well, so I’m hoping you or others will have better information on it than me.

Now, if He was actually God, I really don’t know. But I know Jesus had/has a purpose and came to fulfill it.
Hi Brian,
Have you considered in what way Isaiah 14:19-20 might possibly play a roll in Jesus death on the cross?

I believe Jesus, and us, were created and existed with God in heaven before we came here. How long, I don’t know, because eternity has no concept of time. Jesus was part of God just as we were part of God.
Hi Brian,
Interesting, my belief is very similar to yours, except there was no pre-Jesus.
Jesus was part of God, in God(John 16:27). He b…[Read more]
