I don't know what some trinity doctines state, but Scripture states very plainly that the Son only does the will of the Father John 5:19. The Holy Spirit was sent from the Father in Jesus name. Jn 14:26

The Father is Jesus' God, but also His Father (obviously). Of course the Son is subject to the Father. But the Father delights in giving glory to His Son.
