Why is Jesus called the second Adam if you say he came from Adam???

This topic is for you…
Please explain your position?

Ed JMay 14, 2019 at 11:31 am#845392ProclaimerParticipantIf Jesus is from Adam as some here argue, then all will die and no one will live. Nick, Gene, and Jodi will not live if they confess they are of Adam and if their messiah is of Adam.
For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: Christ the firstfruits; then at His coming, those who belong to Him.…
If Jesus is of Adam, then this is how it goes.
We die because we inherit Adam’s nature which leads to death. Next we are in Christ, so we will live. But wait up, wouldn’t you know it, Jesus Christ is of Adam, so he and all will also die. Oh well, never mind.
Eat drink, and be merry. No hope for anyone if the Ordinary Jesus Brigade is correct.
May 14, 2019 at 1:49 pm#845393JodiParticipantHi Ed J,
Great thread topic!!
Adam brought mankind into mortality, Jesus was born mortal, being nailed to the cross he died because he was a mortal. God had sworn with an oath to David, concerning David’s son that the flesh of Jesus would not see decay, he would be raised from the dead and be given his father David’s throne.
David is a son of Adam, Jesus is a son of David, that makes Jesus a son of Adam.
1 Corinthians 15:45 So also it is written, “The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
Adam = “the red earth”
Adam, the first man, the parent of the whole human familyRevelation 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,
Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Jesus is called the last Adam, he is the first human with eternal life. As God made Adam of the dust, Jesus is likewise of the red earth, the difference is that Jesus was born of God’s Spirit and was perfected. We are promised to be perfected as well and be joint heirs with Christ, we are promised eternal life.
The Last Adam, a human of the red earth who is an heir of God, is the image that God predestined us to be also.

ME: You don’t make sense, t8.
Adam’s nature was that he became a mortal, cursed to grow crops through back breaking work among thorns and thistles, to bleed and sweat.
Jesus was mortal, hence he absolutely had the same nature as Adam, he sweated and he bled, and he DIED, as Adam died, he died paying for our sins, but unlike Adam he was raised from the dead brought back to LIFE, with his flesh not seeing corruption being made incorruptible. He became the firstborn of the dead, the first perfected human OF the red earth having eternal life, why he is called the last Adam and we are to be made in his image, the same as the last Adam, a human made of the red earth perfected with eternal life.

Hi Jodi,
You have a dilemma with your ordinary Jesus belief (How do you explain this?)…
“No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and
I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.” (John 10:18)Let me explain your dilemma, so you can understand it: Either…
1. You have God talking to himself or
2. Or you too have this power too.
Which are you claiming? Or are
you claiming something else? You have more explaining to do

Hi T8,
Interesting how you present their dilemma
Let’s examine Jodi’s words, and see where she goes

Ed JMay 14, 2019 at 10:21 pm#845404ProclaimerParticipantYes Ed J. One is of earth and the other of heaven. One is natural and the other spiritual.
“The first man Adam became a living being” the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven.
May 15, 2019 at 2:08 am#845405GeneBalthropParticipantEdj……So when Jesus himself said he is a Son of man, around a “100” times, he was lying to us, right?
Edj and T8 …..interesting how you people just change scriptures to meet you false teachings, well here are just somemore for you people to twist for us.
Matt 1:1……The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the “son of David” the son of Abraham.
Rev 22:16… I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches, “I am” the “root and the offspring” “of David”…..
Edj and T8……please advise us what to do with those scriptures , seening you believe they are lies, should we just throw them out of our bibles we have, or just assume they are lies, like you guys do?
Peace and love to you and yours. …….gene

Hi Gene,
I accounted for the verses you gave, but how do you account for Christ’s own words here…
“41 And he said unto them, How say they (Gene, Jodi, and others) that Christ is David’s son?
42 And David himself saith in the book of Psalms,
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
43 Till I make thine enemies thy footstool.
44 David therefore calleth him (Christ) Lord, how then is he (Christ) his son?”
(Luke 20:41-44)Well Gene, it seems you have some explaining to do

Hi Jodi,
You have a dilemma with your ordinary Jesus belief (How do you explain this?)…
“No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself.
You have more explaining to do
ME: First off, I am glad to hear that you are looking forward to a good conversation, I am as well.
Second, I don’t believe that Jesus was an ordinary human, he was a human who fulfilled Isaiah’s prophecy, receiving glory that the LORD would not give to any other, glory being made an only begotten Son of God’s Spirit, full of grace and truth.
Thirdly, let’s look at John 10!
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life;
Ed J,
Jesus is not talking about raising himself from the dead, he is talking about the covenant, how that by his death he brings life. How IN HIS DEATH he wipes clean our sins, which the penalty for sin is death. REMEMBER Jesus asked God “take this cup” from him, and he said, “not as I will, but as you will”. He died being OBEDIENT to God, of which made him perfect and our source for eternal life.
Ed J, Jesus gave his life, for all life, saving us from our sins.
Ed J, “I lay down my life, that I might take it again.”
Jesus isn’t talking about being able to raise himself from the dead, he is talking about your life and everyone else’s life!
ASK yourself Ed J, WHY DOES Jesus LAY DOWN his LIFE?
I am sure Jesus’s message wasn’t to tell us that he laid down his life to show us that he can raise himself from the dead.
He laid down his life so that he might take our lives back, redeem you and I brother, paying the penalty for our sins.
You have multiple scriptures that tell you that Jesus did not raise himself from the dead, his Father did.
Here is one example for you,
Acts 17:31 Because HE hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom HE hath ordained; whereof HE hath given assurance unto all men, in that HE hath raised him from the dead.
The commandment Jesus received from his Father was Jesus following the will of God unto his death, in order to fulfill the covenant, of which brings us to the forgiveness of our sins and opens the door to life once more.
May 16, 2019 at 3:22 pm#845432JodiParticipantHi Ed J and t8,
God’s creation tells you that to be a HUMAN of which Jesus is called multiple time means that you are made from a human male sperm and a human female egg united together. You cannot be an actual man or huMAN if these TWO are not joined together, it is a LAW according to God’s creation where He designed each creature to exists after their own kind.
He firmly established this truth to you in Genesis.
You make Jesus NOT a human, you make him into a half breed, half god half human just like pagans did with all their mighty men and rulers.
The prophecy of a virgin birth was for a SIGN to the house of David, that one of their descendants would keep the throne, it was not a sign for them to know of a half breed human god, but a sign that one from the blood of another tribe would not take over the kingdom, only one from the blood of the tribe of Judah would.
1 The book of the generation (Genesis/source/origin) of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. 2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;… 15 And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob; 16 And Jacob begat Joseph
The ORIGIN of Jesus comes from the seed of Joseph of which occurred through the power of the Holy Spirit fulfilling prophecy.
May 16, 2019 at 3:53 pm#845433JodiParticipantHi Ed J and t8,
Please think on this,
1 Corinthians 15 speaks of the BODY. The body of Jesus died and that body was not allowed to see decay, instead he was resurrected from the dead GIVEN eternal LIFE from God.
42 So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
a natural body is a MORTAL body of which Jesus had, but he was raised with a spiritual body.
a natural body is weak it must serve itself in order to live, eat food, it is tempted to serve itself.
a spiritual body is powerful, it is not weak, it does not have to serve itself in order to live because it has been given eternal life, thus not able to be tempted.
I Corinthians 15 tells you directly that Jesus was born with a NATURAL body, he had a body that was able to be tempted, but he was raised a spiritual body one no longer able to be tempted.
The human mind of Jesus was perfected learning obedience over his weak flesh, having displayed his undying FAITH in God, his reward was to receive a body that he did not have to war against, a body made in the image of our God eternal.
You see guys Adam had the opposite, he originally had a spiritual body, but he didn’t have a spiritual mind. Just as God has to use His Spirit to give us a spiritual body, one that doesn’t have to serve itself in order to live because it is immortal, He also has to anoint us with His Spirit in order to be of a spiritual mind, to have faith and desire to walk in His ways.
May 16, 2019 at 11:52 pm#845434JodiParticipantHi Ed J,
John 6:39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.
John 6:40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
John 6:44 “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.
John 6:54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.
John 10:14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.
17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”
25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.
1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
Ed J in multiple scriptures it is the Father that raises Jesus up from the dead, Jesus lays down his life FOR the SHEEP, not for raising himself up. Jesus lays down his life to then give life.
Acts 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: 24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
May 17, 2019 at 2:09 am#845436GeneBalthropParticipantEdj……if Jesus’ flesh “never”, saw corruption, he obvisely still has it. JUST THAT SIMPLE, no “mystery religion” needed.
Peace and love to you and yours. …….gene
