    EdJ,

I am disagreeing with your though “it is better not to do wrong than to acknowledge it and try to make amends?”

    Hi Kerwin,

Are you agreeing with me that this principal is taught in the bible or no?

    Ed,

It is taught by God but not with the words Jesus quoted from the OT.

    Hi Kerwin,

Does Hosea 6:6 appear to be
teaching that not sinning is better than
sinning and trying to make amends afterwards?

    “Yes” or “No” ?

    Ed,

No, that is not the message of Hosea 6:6.

The message of Hosea 6:6 is also expressed with these words.

Matthew 23:23Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

    Nick,

    Hi KW,

Within the cup of man is ”sin in the flesh”.

All the religious behaviours of men cannot cleanse themselves inwardly.

Those the Son sets free are free indeed.

I agree that man cannot truly clean himself but the Anointed came to set men truly free.

    Hi KW,

Yes and that cleansing is in repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus.

    Nick,

It is the Spirit that cleans us but we receive the Spirit through immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ.

    Hi KW,

    Certainly the Spirit sanctifies

But you must submit to the righteous demands of God for water baptism if you expect Him to give you the sanctifying Spirit.

    Nick,

I was making the connection between God’s righteous demand of immersion in water and the sanctification of the Spirit.

    Hi KW,

Immersion has no value without repentance.

    Hi Ed,

God has defined sin as disbelief in Jesus Christ.

    Nick,

Getting immersed in water without both faith in God and Jesus Anointed and repentance accomplishes nothing but getting wet.

    T,

It is obvious that those who believe Jesus Anointed is God and study Scripture are in self denial because it is a broken teaching and Jesus declares Scripture cannot be broken.

Kerwin …..DO YOU BELIEVE THAT GOD THE FATHER WAS TRULY “IN” THE MAN JESUS THROUGH THE ANOINTING OF HIS VERY OWN SPIRIT. THAT JESUS “BODY” CONTAINED BOTH JESUS’ SPIRIT AND GOD THE FATHER SPIRITS? WHO DO YOU BELIEVE SAID, ..”DESTORY” THIS “TEMPLE” AND IN THREE DAYS “I’ SHALL RAISE “IT” UP. WAS THAT THE FATHER FIRST PERSON SPEAKING THROUGH JESUS’ MOUTH OR WAS IT THE MAN JESUS SPEAKING?

I BELIEVE THE FATHER WAS ACTUALLY SPIRITUALLY RESIDING “IN” JESUS’ BODY AND DID SPEAK AT TIMES DIRECTLY THROUGH HIS MOUTH.

peace and love to you and yours. ……………….gene

God is in anyone that truly believe in him and that put in practice what he as peached through his prophets his Son and his son disciples (scriptures)

Jn 3:21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

understand that God does not join us BUT WE JOIN GOD THE WAY HE WANT US TO JOIN HIM

    Gene,

Jesus’ words were always those of God’s as were his action for he bore the fruit of the Spirit. The only opinion I can think of he gave is when he called Herod a fox and even then his opinion was the fruit of the Spirit.
