Quote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 24 2012,21:07) Hi MB and T,
Do you not agree with scripture that Jesus was a man?
Yep. The only man who ever existed that was fathered directly by God Himself through His Holy Spirit and born of a virgin woman.Exactly like the rest of us, right Nick. No difference at all, right?

He was begotten from above of the Spirit.
At his baptism God said so.
So are we.1Peter 1.3f
Acts 13.33
Nick,I said: Show me FROM SCRIPTURE that Jesus wasn't already begotten by God at the time Ps 2 was written.
Are you able to do this? Showing me that Jesus was later born of Mary doesn't erase the fact that his origins were from ancient times. Or that all things in heaven and on earth were created through him. Or that he himself said he came down from heaven. Or that he was already existing in the form of God BEFORE being made into the likeness of a human being. Etc, etc, etc…………….
Btw, God didn't say, “This man has JUST NOW BECOME my Son” at Jesus' baptism. He merely pointed out that Jesus WAS His Son – He didn't offer any information as to how long he had BEEN His Son. So don't add to scripture.
Good post Mike Boll!Sounds like the good old days

Hi MB,
Did his origins make him not a man?Can you follow a superman?
February 25, 2012 at 5:46 pm#280529NickHassanParticipantQuote (mikeboll64 @ Feb. 25 2012,23:04) Well Nick, The words in the days of King David say, “I have begotten you”. That means that in the days of King David, Jesus had already been begotten.
Now, if YOU think this past tense scenario is really a future prophecy, then it is up to YOU to show proof that what YOU say is true.
My proof is the past tense words as they are written.
Hi MB,
So you do not believe David was a prophet?February 25, 2012 at 5:48 pm#280530NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
If David was not prophesying when had Ps 2 1-6 happened?February 25, 2012 at 5:48 pm#280531mikeboll64BlockedQuote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 25 2012,10:44) Can you follow a superman?
I can follow the teachings of God Almighty Himself, Nick. Why would you and a few others imagine that we can't also follow Jesus unless he was “exactly like us”?February 25, 2012 at 5:51 pm#280533mikeboll64BlockedQuote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 25 2012,10:46) Hi MB,
So you do not believe David was a prophet?
Sure, David was indeed a prophet. Does that mean that every quoted word of David in scripture was a prophesy? It is up to you to prove that the past tense “have begotten you” was a future prophesy. If you cannot, then accept the words as they are.

So he was not a man?February 25, 2012 at 6:07 pm#280545mikeboll64BlockedRead the post at the top of this very page, Nick. Shall we just keep circling?

Scripture says he was a man many times.
But you cannot agree and want him to be demigod?February 26, 2012 at 3:13 pm#280805mikeboll64BlockedWhat scripture says is that he was existing in the form of God, then emptied himself to be made into the likeness of a man.
Scripture says that since the children are flesh, he too had to partake in flesh.
Your Lord himself said, “I came down from heaven”, Nick. Why not just believe him?

Do you really think what is prophesied has already happened when it is written??
Nwen John written his Gospel ,yes it was ,but it was a witness to what was written century's before their own time,
in this way they have become true witnesses to the fulfillment of Gods words,
just as some of us can see Gods words be accomplish right now,

He was no different to you and I till the Jordan.
He became there THE Son of God.
Nthink Christ could easy be the first inVitro (totally conceived by God's power)child and Mary the first surrogate mother, and appeared as the Messiah wen time was came to do so ,
this is not against scriptures, because Christ was an existing being in heaven,

Ndo you not believe what scriptures saying
Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Col 1:16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
Col 1:17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacyPr 8:22 “The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works,
before his deeds of old;
Pr 8:23 I was appointed from eternity,
from the beginning, before the world began.do you believe ;“I am the bread that came down out of heaven.”
JN 6:51 “ I am the living bread that came down out of heavenJOB 18:21 “Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked,
And this is the place of him who does not know God.”1CO 1:21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe
February 26, 2012 at 6:15 pm#280827NickHassanParticipantHi T,
Indeed I believe what scripture says of the Spirit of Christ, now Jesus Christ.
That Spirit is from God, in the form of God, with God and of God.February 26, 2012 at 7:16 pm#280843terrariccaParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 27 2012,11:15) Hi T,

Nso Christ is only a shadow not a being
he is NOT the son of God I mean the true person as the son of God
is this what you imply???
