When I was involved in the Trinitarian system, I use to hear prayers in denominational churches where people prayed to God, the Father, Jesus, The Spirit, all in the same prayer.

It just shows how uneducated many believers are to their own faith and this practice continues to this day.

    Matt 5:6
    pray to your Father,

    Matt 5:8
for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

    Matt 5:9-13
9″This, then, is how you should pray:
      ” 'Our Father in heaven,
      hallowed be your name,
    10your kingdom come,
      your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
11Give us today our daily bread.
    12Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.'

There wasn't a choice for me. I pray to God, complete, in the same way Jesus said I was to be baptised, in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy spirit

I pray according to Scriptures.  And Scriptures teach me that there is only one God and not three.

Eph 4:6   One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.

and by Jesus own words in

Jhn 14:28   Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come [again] unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

1Cr 8:4   As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol [is] nothing in the world, and that [there is] none other God but one.

Deu 4:35   Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that the LORD he [is] God; [there is] none else beside him.

Deu 6:4 ¶ Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God [is] one LORD

Please notice that in both of the Scriptures out of the Old Testament says the LORD in all capital letters.  Signifying that it is Jehovah God and not Jesus, since He preexisted His birth here on earth….

All Scrip0tures pasted out of the Blue Letter Bible on the Internet….which is the KJ version of the Bible…

    Peace Irene.

I understand you t8, to the full. I never pray to Holy Spirit, it's so unbiblical. But I pray to God a lot, and even to Jesus, even though is more common in the bible to pray to God. I pray to God in Jesus name, and also to Jesus in his own name.

    Welcome christ4u2now !

When I feel closest to God, I pray 'Lord' and there is only one.

There is no division at all in my mind.

    As Jesus said and did.

    To all,

I pray to God as Jesus is the one God made King and it is inapropriate to pray to a King, even the King. You can still petition The King as steven did. I am not sure how different than praying that is.
