Quote (Nick Hassan @ May 25 2014,15:28) Hi MB,
Jesus did not exist till his conception just like you.
I did not exist until I was BORN, Nick.Yet Jesus existed on earth for 33 years BEFORE he was BORN from the dead.
Hmmmm…………..
I have been CONCEIVED of flesh. Yet if I am to ever enter the kingdom of God, I will have to be CONCEIEVE again, of water and spirit.
Like I said, you think this little thing makes a point for you. But what you are doing is no different than the Trinitarians finding one verse were Jesus is called “god”, and saying it proves their whole case.
You cannot sensibly hone in on this “conceived” thing, while totally disregarding scriptures like John 6:38, Rev 3:14, 1 Cor 8:6, John 1:14, and dozens of others just like them.

The setting up of the kingdom physically on earth has not happened yet and that is most of what ps 2 is about.
The decree was spoken by God in prophecy in ps 2 and occurred and was heard at the Jordan
The decree was said to Jesus himself before, or at the time the psalm was written.Those words were repeated by God at the Jordan, to remind people of this decree that was given hundreds of years earlier. God was saying, This one who was just baptized is the one I gave that decree to all those years ago.

I used to believe as you do till I faced the conception issue.May 25, 2014 at 10:26 pm#384242mikeboll64BlockedQuote (Nick Hassan @ May 25 2014,15:43) Do we work on what God can POSSIBLY DO or what is revealed? But you have not answered my question about the same word being used for the conception of Jesus as for John.
We work on what has been revealed, Nick. Like the things revealed in those 50+ scriptures a few of us put together in the “Preexistent Database” thread. (Pierre just recently re-posted them in the “Pre-Existent” thread for Adam.)As for the same word being used for John…….. SO WHAT? The same words “born” and “created” are used for other people as well. Does that mean we cannot be “born AGAIN”, or “created ANEW”?
(The same Greek words is also used for “snatching” many times in scripture. Like Peter “snatching” a bunch of fish out of the lake, and the Jews “snatching” Jesus after the last supper.)

Really? So that one little Greek word threw your whole belief system out of whack?Nick, the overall teaching of scriptures is not decided by one odd word here, or one odd phrase there.
For example, Jesus isn't all of a sudden God Almighty just because he said, “Before Abraham, I am”.
Likewise, we can't just throw away clear scriptures like, “I came down from heaven……….. what if you see me ascend to where I was before” – just because of a Greek word that we translate as “conceived”.

You mean “rationalized”, right Nick?They don't need any “rationalization”. They are crystal clear just how they were written.

But how can a creature become a NEW creature, Nick?Perhaps the creature Jesus also became a NEW CREATURE when he emptied himself to be born of Mary.
And then again when he was raised from the dead.

HOW?
You are becoming dependant on PERHAPS and POSSIBLEMay 25, 2014 at 10:40 pm#384251NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
Certainly only seeing the man has allowed you to satisfy your logical mind.But is it all the truth?
Jesus spent a lot of time explaining how God through His Spirit enabled everything that he did and said.
But it has gone right over your head
May 26, 2014 at 12:10 am#384297mikeboll64BlockedNick,
For the umpteenth time, I KNOW that God worked through Jesus via His Spirit. I DON'T deny that, so please stop making it sound like I do.
Jesus himself said he came down from heaven to do the will of his Father.
Jesus hinted that some of those standing there would later see him ascend to where he was before.
Then, some of those who were standing there DID see him ascend to where he was before.
What part of this teaching can't you grasp, Nick? Maybe I can help you……. if you let me know what's holding you back.
May 26, 2014 at 12:12 am#384299NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
But did he SPEAK through Jesus?
Jesus said He did
Do you?May 27, 2014 at 1:16 am#384624mikeboll64BlockedI will address your last post in the other thread, where I await your scripture in which God or the Spirit speak directly through the man Jesus Christ.
May 27, 2014 at 1:39 am#384631NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
Here are some.
.John 14:10
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.31.John 14:23
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.32.John 14:24
He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.May 27, 2014 at 2:22 am#384659mikeboll64BlockedAnswered in the other thread.

Jn3
27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
Nickthis verse taken by it self may drive you out in a flaw thinking that this is also applied to Christ ,but read this ;
same John talking ;
Jn 1:30 This is the one I meant when I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’
see Nick how you believe one verse and disregard the other,
now this is the master speaking but again you do not believe him ;
Jn 3:13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.you have major problems in scripture believes ,

Do you believe the words of Jesus Christ yet?
Nickdo you believe the master when he says ;
Jn 3:13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the Son of Man.
Jn 3:12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?
why do you think Jesus could talk about the things in heaven
