    Hi MB,
Scripture says he was filled with the Spirit after the Jordan[lk4.1]
    But your bible says otherwise?

    Aw shucks……..

Now I feel bad for that post I just wrote to you in the other thread. :)

Seriously though, you and I are like mortal enemies on some topics, and kindred brethren on others.

Once I get you whipped into shape, we'll be kindred brethren on all topics. :)

    Hi MB,
Jesus began his ministry after the Jordan anointing.
Unless you think showing his scriptural knowledge to the scribes was an act of divine power?

    Hi WU,
How can you follow Jesus if he is fundamentally different?

How can YOU follow God, Nick?

    Hi MB,
    Acts 10
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

There should never be enemies amongst brethren.
    Hard discussions, yes.

Why is he called the Word of God?

Because he is God's main spokesman.

Did you know the King of Abyssinia had a spokesman who was called Kal Hatze – which means “The Word of the King”?

Of course you knew that, because I've told you so a dozen times already. Maybe one of these times it will sink in. :)

David was God's anointed BEFORE he ever received the Holy Spirit, Nick. So was Saul.

    But consider the following:

    Luke 10:21
At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father……..

Does this mean that Jesus was completely JOYLESS until the time he was “full of joy through the Holy Spirit”?

    Of course not.

So, does being “full of the Holy Spirit” after his baptism mean he was VOID of the Holy Spirit before that time? Of course not.

Nor does being “full of the Holy Spirit” after the baptism mean Jesus wasn't already the anointed of God from the moment of his birth.

    Nick,

It seems you think Jesus was completely VOID of the Holy Spirit before his baptism. Is that what you believe?

And if so, WHY do you believe such a thing?

    Hi MB,
    5.Joshua 14:8
Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the Lord my God.

    6.Joshua 14:9
And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the Lord my God.

    7.Joshua 14:14
Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, because that he wholly followed the Lord God of Israel.

    8.Joshua 22:16
Thus saith the whole congregation of the Lord, What trespass is this that ye have committed against the God of Israel, to turn away this day from following the Lord, in that ye have builded you an altar, that ye might rebel this day against the Lord?

    Hi MB,
Joy is a fruit of the Spirit.
    Galatians 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

But he was filled by the Spirit at the jordan

    Hi MB,
You think you know what I think?
What I think does not matter.

WE are reliant on what scripture reveals

Are you suggesting that some folk have a smidgen of the Spirit of God naturally?
    Any scriptures?

“So, does being “full of the Holy Spirit” after his baptism mean he was VOID of the Holy Spirit before that time? Of course not.

Nor does being “full of the Holy Spirit” after the baptism mean Jesus wasn't already the anointed of God from the moment of his birth. “

You can speculate all you like but does it add substance to a scriptural discussion?
