Quote (kerwin @ Mar. 25 2011,02:25) An angel cannot be a decendent of a human being. Therefore Jesus is not an angel.
A messenger most certainly CAN be a descendent of a human. And “messenger” is what “angel” means, Kerwin.James 2:25 NKJV ©
Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? That word “messenger” above is the Greek word “aggelos”, which means “angel”…….yet the men spoken of are of human descent. John the Baptist is also called by this word in the accounts of Matthew, Mark and Luke………and he was a descendent of a human being.
All together, the KJV renders “aggelos” as “messenger” 7 times in the NT.
Just so you know why I voted for “angel” in this poll.

Jesus is not saying he is the Father but he is saying “IF YE HAD KNOWN ME”, ye should have known my Father (God) also: and “from henceforth ye know him (God), and have seen him (God). “
Did they literrally see the Father?
Okay Keith,If Jesus is not literally the Father, then Jesus was not speaking literally of Phillip seeing the Father. And if he is not speaking literally about Phillip seeing the Father, he is therefore also not speaking literally about Phillip seeing “God Himself”.
So here are the two choices I gave last week:
1. I have done and spoken exactly like the Father would have done and spoken since you've known me. It is His words I speak to you, His works I've been doing, and His lessons I've been teaching. When you hear MY words, it is exactly LIKE you're hearing the Father's words. If you would truly get to know ME, it will be LIKE you getting to know the Father also. If you see ME and the things I have done, it is really LIKE you were seeing the Father doing those things. Because the Father is the power and wisdom behind every single thing I've done.
2. Jesus actually IS the Father.
If we know that choice #2 is not the right one, what choice do we have left?

Wow! And all I've done is read the Bible a few times and researched a little into the meanings of Greek and Hebrew words. How is it that I have a better grasp on what the scriptures teach than you?For example, when Jesus says his Father is the “ONLY true God” and tells us that the Father is “our God and his God”, I understand what he's saying. Why can't you with all your “education”? Could it be perhaps because your educators were more focused on creating a new Trinity Doctrine supporter than they were on teaching you what the scriptures actually say?
You know what they say…………….Crap in – crap out.

The Result would be,
1) You are wrong
2) That you were subjected to your own Wishful thinking as a result of being Wrong.
3) Be Honest, and accept that The POSSIBILITY of Jesus being God is more likely than the past. (not that you started claiming, but OPEN to the possibility to it since you cant claim that Jesus is an Angel anymore)could you agree with these results?
Really? Why couldn't #3 be, “accept the possibility of Jesus being nothing more than a human being, exactly like us” like Gene thinks?Besides, you can't prove it. “Angel” simply means “messenger”, and Jesus most definitely is a messenger of his God………..therefore an angel of God.
In fact, he is God's preeminent messenger, which is why he alone is called “the Word of God”.
But just for kicks, “YES, D, if you can prove that Jesus is NOT an angel, I'll admit I was wrong, was wishful thinking, and I will accept that the POSSIBILITY of Jesus being God is more likely than it was in the past for me.”
Get to provin' it, sonny boy.

Actually Angel can refer to a Race of heavenly beings.
Mark 12:25
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven
So they will be like who?? like the Angels? You can add Genes too if you would like
either way its crossing off one problem and getting to the truth of the matter.Everything depends on Context Mike =D

Yeah, that's right D.And by the context of “angels which are IN HEAVEN”, we know that verse was about heavenly angels, right?
D, read the top post on this page – the one I made to Kerwin, before you put your foot in your mouth, okay?

Hi MikeDon't you understand that no being can perfectly represent God unless he is God?
Besides Mike you left out one other option….
3. Both the Father and Jesus are God. The scriptures declare them both to be God don't they?

What is an angel if he is not God and not man?
The head of every MAN is JESUS. The head of JESUS is GOD.–1 COR.
So, Biblically, we seem to have: man, and above man, Jesus and above Jesus, God.
So, why would you ever only believe that Jesus had to be God OR man? Does not 1 Cor put Jesus as the head of man, but God as the head of Jesus?
Jesus is God's only begotten Son, as the Bible states trillions of times. (OK, only hundreds.)

no men can give you understanding from God unless he recieved from God not trough men's teachings ,all men will be thought by God ,says scriptures
