ParticipantTo all,
This thread address the contradicting in the idea that Jesus Christ was both made human and came in the flesh. I never did get a satisfactory answer how this is resolved.

Col 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Who does Scripture say is “he”?

you mixing humans with God ,God is not human and when he created /born ,it is because you did not at one point not there ;so the how it is made to be that way is God’s way ,for not all things are created and are born , in the same as human ,
God is spirit and so a being in a very different substance than us human ,and it say Jesus also was created first ,so from the same substance ,not human substance ,but spirit substance ,a substance that we really cannot fathom in our mind , and so we can try but really cannot ,
scriptures says Jesus is the image of his father this can be both physically so he is also a spirit being of the same form/nature of his father ,but separated by their personal soul ,but united in their mutual love for each other based on the same qualities ,
like God is a giver and so is Jesus his son ,the devil is a taker ,do you understand what I try to tell you ?

ParticipantHi LU,
Scripture says that Jesus Christ came in the flesh.
It is not an option to change it.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

=====================================================
Col 1:13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,
Col 1:14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.Col 1:15 He (Jesus)is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation

ParticipantHi t,
Because of the way scripture writes about Jesus Christ.
You should not ADD to scripture.
The word JESUS does not fit.
But Jesus Christ does.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.

ParticipantHi LU,
The Word became flesh.
Jesus already was flesh from his conception in Mary.
The Word is spirit -that was God and was with God in the beginning.
John understood.
In his first letter he spoke of touching the Word.
Now made flesh in the man Jesus.

ParticipantHi t,
Jesus of Nazareth was anointed with the Holy Spirit and power.
Thus he became the anointed one
Jesus Christ.

ParticipantHi t,
SUBSTANCE is another word the world uses about God.
We do not serve the world.

No Micah 5.2 makes no such statement.
That is a private interpretation.

From you one will go forth
for Me to be ruler in Israel
Jesus will be born
for God to rule Israel
God did not rule Israel through an embryo, through an infant or through a child.

ParticipantHi Ed,
Jesus, son of Mary, was born in Bethlehem.
Lk 2.4
The Magi knew from astrology and the chief priests and even Herod knew from prophecy that the messiah would be born in Bethlehem.
Mt2
But you confuse prophecy with the now.

ParticipantHi Ed,
It was known in prophecy that the Messiah would come from Bethlehem.
Does that state for you that the child born was anointed?
