Apologies to everyone.
The website was down all weekend (USA time).
The reason for this was the database server went down.
The host provider don’t seem to work on weekends, so I had to wait for someone to physically reboot the database server.This had happened once before and it has proven to me that the current provider is not trustworthy.
I have been wanting to move the forums to a more reputable host provider. This has been a technical challenge as the database is reasonably big.
I will keep you posted regarding the future move.
Big apology for the latest outages.
They happened for 2 reasons.
- MySQL server problems again.
- The account was suspended due to an error by our host provider. They have apologised, but this outage has made me want to move to a new provider all the more.
I am currently researching options for a new host provider.
