Web site abuse

I notice someone is spamming the website with pornographic pictures.  This is abusive to their follow users of the website. Can you please act to secure our rights by taking away the privilege of a new user to use images like you do with the edit command?  Could you please also ban users who take advantage of the web site in such a way?  Thank you!

That sounds like a useful suggestion for limiting new user image posting privileges.

The mods here do work pretty hard to keep the spammers under control.

I have updated the spam filters. That should hold off the spam for a while. The filters exclude legit domains like yahoo.com and gmail.com, but I may have to ban them too, if spammers use those domains too much.
