    Hi KW,

    Where is it written that God is a being or a person?

    Or are these your derived theological ideas added to scripture?

    Hi Kerwin,

    When you say the person of God – you mean the person of “God the Father”; right? y/n

    “Yes” – “No” – “I don’t know”

    yes, God is a self aware and rational being, i.e. person.

    Thank you, see that wasn’t so hard. Next question:

    Do you believe “the spirit of Christ” is a person?

    Ed,

    The Spirit of Christ is not a being and therefore not a person. It is difficult using and no and then giving a reason for saying not as one does not want to negate the reason.

    Hi KW,

    Are you a source for such understanding or should we search the scriptures?

    Nick,

    It is written to test the Spirit of what you hear. Why would I who claim to be only a student be an exception?

    Ed,

    Since I believe the Spirit of God is the Spirit of Christ the answer is also no.

    Jesus was a normal man who was born of Mary.

    Nick, the only thing in this statement that is true is Jesus was born a man.

    But there is error. He was not born normal.

    • He was born holy;
    • He was born the son of God;
    • He was born the messiah;
    • He was born the Lord.

    Curious, I take it you think you are a normal man, yet were you born any of these things? Did wise men turn up when you were a baby because a star pointed them to the sign of the messiah? Did the prime minister of New Zealand send out soldiers to kill every young baby boy to stop you from fulfilling your mission.

    Anything but normal Nick.

    The normal Jesus as a type man is another Jesus. Quite a few preach that other Jesus here. Your’e not the only one who preaches the ordinary Jesus.

    Hi t8,

    God’s strength shows up best in weak vessels.

    But you want to make an infant a Lord and anointed from birth.

    Despite the lack of evidence of any such thing happening to him before birth or any manifestations before age 30.

    It seems you are offering the teachings of tradition.

    t8,

    None of disagrees that Jesus was born a normal man.

    Any Jew is born holy. (Deuteronomy 7:6 and Exodus 22:31)

    They are normal humans.

    Hi KW,

    Are they not born of woman?

    Were you born a Jew and holy?

    Nick,

    I quoted Scripture where God calls the Hebrews his holy so I do not see where you are debating with him.

    He called them holy because the word of God was given to them.

    They are ones that are called the word’s very own.

    Many, though born holy, defiled themselves.

    My point is though God calls the Jews holy they are considered normal humans.

    Nick,

    I am sorry as I dropped the word people. God called the Hebrews his people. God has never retracted those words. Instead he implied that the disobedient among them were cast out and obedient Gentiles were adopted in their place.

    No doubt they are the chosen people

    And a remnant of them will survive.

    Nick,

    I agree with that as well. Christianity also has their versions of that as well.
