Scripture does not say all men will be saved.
Sheep and goats and a real lake of fire.November 16, 2008 at 8:25 pm#111970GeneBalthropParticipantNick……..Explain to us how death and hell can be (THROWN) into a literal lake of fire then. And while you are at that explain to us what this means. “But He shall be saved (YET) as by FIRE”. How is literal fire going to save anyone. Nick if you want to understand scripture you must understand it in a Spiritual since, Jesus said the (words i tell you) (ARE) spirit and must be understood through Spirit and Truth.

It is not a matter of explaining HOW to our satisfaction before we will believe.
We do not only accept what we can understand.
It is written.November 16, 2008 at 8:36 pm#111972NickHassanParticipantGB,
Fiery trials are our lot as sons in training.
But that bears no relationship to the lake of fire prepared for the devil and his angels.November 16, 2008 at 8:51 pm#111976GeneBalthropParticipantNick…….Jesus said you shall all be salted with fire does that mean he will sprinkle literal Fire on us, or intense Judgment, and where it says He would baptise with spirit and (FIRE) is that also a literal fire or intense Judgments. God the Father and Jesus is in the business of SAVING not throwing his Creation into a (literal) fire. GOD Judgments on the ungodly will be very intense and will convince them of their errors,” “Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints to execute judgment upon (ALL) and to convince (ALL) that are ungodly (among Them) of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their (HARD) words which (ungodly) sinners have spoken against Him.

Scientists only accept as truth what they can prove to their own satisfaction.
Thus their carnal minds are the ultimate judge of truth.
We believe because it is written.
We are not NewtoniansYou should not get muddled between testing and the lake of fire.
November 16, 2008 at 9:14 pm#111989chosenoneParticipantWe believe in scripture, not ones own interpetations of some “eternal gospel for all” which is not in scripture.
November 16, 2008 at 9:17 pm#111991NickHassanParticipantCO,
Have you not heard the gospel of Jesus Christ through his followers?
How then can you enter the kingdom of God?
Faith comes through hearing.Have you found other gospels?
You should abhor them[gal]November 16, 2008 at 9:21 pm#111997chosenoneParticipantNick.
I guess I have to repeat, and repeat again, Jesus own Words, Matt.15:24, why do you deny His Words?Believe scripture, not your own dogma!
November 16, 2008 at 9:23 pm#111999NickHassanParticipantCO,
I believe.
Paul continued the work of Christ so no new gospels and no other kingdoms.November 16, 2008 at 9:32 pm#112004chosenoneParticipantNick.
I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree, we just keep going around in circles. Not believing scripture as to what Jesus said, is not worth my time discussing it with you. To me, scripture is to be believed, not skipped over because of some “eternal gospel for all” dogma that is not scriptural.
So I guess I will exit from this topic. Thank you.November 16, 2008 at 9:36 pm#112007NickHassanParticipantCO,
Did Jesus tell us all men will be saved?
He is our teacher.Or did you derive this new idea from some teaching given of his followers?
It may have confused you if you did as they are already in the kingdom. You should not apply Paul's teaching to the saved to the heathen as a new gospel.

Nick……..1 Th 5:21….> “Prove (ALL THINGS); hold fast that which is good.” Are we supposed to throw this out , and blindly believe whats written even if we don't understand it. Only a fool would do that , we are told to GROW IN GRACE AND KNOWLEDGE. That means to grow in understanding also. Nick it takes the Spirit of God to understand the things of God and that Spirit (SEARCHES) the deep things of GOD and REVEALS them to us. To say we believe (BECAUSE) it is written is foolishness Nick.Nick….you really need to get your obsession with Newton out of your mind.

Reason does not rule us.
The Word of God is over all.
We must submit our minds to it that God will reveal it.November 17, 2008 at 2:52 am#112048GeneBalthropParticipantNick…….I believe God reveals to hum ever He choses to. As in the case of Peter, remember Jesus said that flesh and blood did not reveal that unto him, even Jesus was flesh and blood when he said that , so Jesus himself didn't reveal that to Peter but God who was in heaven did it. Nick to make a statement the we are not to use reason is not biblical at all, remember GOD himself said “come lets reason together”. Even Jesus told His disciples that the Spirit of truth would come and bring back into their minds the things he told them. You are making rules to what God will or not do. I think you need to reconsider that or at least quote scripture to back you position.

Grace and peace came through Jesus Christ.
Life comes through his Spiritually charged words.
Weak human reason cannot compete with godly power. So much for the clever ones of this world humbled by childlike acceptance of truth

Ro.8:30-32 …30 Now whom He designates beforehand, these He calls also, and whom He calls, these He justifies also; now whom He justifies, these He glorifies also.
31 What then, shall we declare to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
32 Surely, He Who spares not His own Son, but gives Him up for us all, how shall He not, together with Him, also, be graciously granting us all?November 17, 2008 at 6:04 am#112076NickHassanParticipantCo,
