Quote (Nick Hassan @ June 26 2009,16:42) Hi WJ,
Have you seen the original manuscript?
Bishop Eusebius did and had a copy in his library which the Romans burnt down.He said that Jesus said in that verse we were to baptise “in my name”
Hi NHAlso if Eusebius had a “Copy” of the original manuscript then it was not the original was it?
So then what about the rest of the 10,000 copies of the Original manuscripts which has Mattew 28:19?

Hi 94What is the name of the Father? We do not know do we?
Jesus said Go in the name “singular” of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit which simply means there is One name by which all men will be saved.
The Apostles made it clear that that name is Jesus!
It is at the name Jesus that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess.
All that God is, is summed up in that one Name which is above every name!
Jesus is making it clear here as well as in many places that the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit are three in One!

There is some evidence that Mt 28 was altered.
The apostles obeyed Jesus baptising in his name.June 26, 2009 at 9:44 pm#134895NickHassanParticipantHi WJ,
The apostles baptised in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
Jesus is not the name of God.
Jesus is a man.June 26, 2009 at 9:46 pm#134896Worshipping JesusParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ June 26 2009,17:42) Hi WJ,

Hi NHMattew 28:19 does not contradict what the Apostles did.
The name is singular for the three.
Where is the evidence that Mt 28:19 should be struck from the 1000s of manuscripts?

Irene,
You are misapplying the Revelation. Jesus claimed to be the the First and the Last, the Almighty (Rev. 1:8).thinker

Hi TechJoe:There is “Only One God”. The verse that you quoted is translated that way in the Greek interlinear, but that is not what the scripture states:
This is from the YLT:
Quote Rev 1:6 and did make us kings and priests to his God and Father, to him [is] the glory and the power to the ages of the ages! Amen. Love in Christ,

Hi TechJoe:I don't know what you mean by “identify the scripture”.
I can't copy and paste from the Greek interlinear that I am reading, but it reads: And makes us kingdom sacred-ones to The God and Father of Him…
If you are asking for a scripture which states that there is but “One God” try this one:
Quote 1Ti 2:5 For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Love in Christ,

Do you stand on the YLT?
Or do you pick and choose from whichever version suites your need?June 27, 2009 at 4:23 am#134927AnonymousGuestGreek interlinear and YLT?
any others?June 27, 2009 at 4:30 am#134928942767ParticipantQuote (TechJoe @ June 27 2009,16:12) Hello again Marty,

Hi TechJoe:I believe that the King James version of the bible is the most accurate, although there are errors, and so that is the version of the bible that I use.
I quoted the scripture from the YLT because YLT means literal translation, but also I gave you what the Greek interlinear bible actually states.
It appears that what you are accusing me of doing, is what you are actually doing?
Anyway, God knows my heart and also knows yours.
I know that there is only “One God”, and I gave you a scripture which states that. Do you agree with that scripture or not?
