    Hi,
God proclaimed his Fatherhood at the Jordan.
Now we can share in the Spirit of the Son

    Gal 4

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

God was Jesus Father since conception.
His baptism means that his hour has come to start his
    teaching.

    Hi Wakeup,

“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

    Hi WU,
He was the Son of Man by Mary.

The Jordan was just a ritual to you and the Spirit did not alight in the form of a dove?

Nick and anyone else that is concerned,

    Galatians 5:19-23
    Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Did Jesus bear the works of the flesh or the fruit of the Spirit before he was immersed by John ?

Did he ever bear the works of the flesh?

    Hi KW,
You cannot produce the fruit of the Spirit until you are reborn of the Spirit.
He was reborn of the Spirit at the Jordan.

But he had never sinned so neither did he produce the fruit of the world's vine before then

    Nick,

    1) I have not heard of the world's vine.
    2) It is not written that he was reborn at the Jordon.

It is best to stick to what is written.

So lets stick to the fact that a believer can either choose to live by the Spirit or by the flesh and not introduce a third possibility that is not written.

    Hi KW,
Are there any references to Jesus being blessed by the Spirit before the Jordan?
The vine of the world is from Rev14.17f

No. He was a man. acts 2.22

COL 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
COL 1:16 For through Him all things were created,

    JN 6:51 “ I am the living bread that came down out of heaven;

Jn 17:5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

JN 20:17 Jesus *said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’ ”
RO 10:6 But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: “DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, `WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?’ (that is, to bring Christ down),

came down and ascend (return) to where he was before

THE FACT THAT PETER SAYS HE WAS A MAN DOES NOT CHANGE ANY OF THOSE FACTS I SHOWED YOU
