    HI MB,
“Don't confuse this with the metaphorical “born again” that comes from giving your fleshly life over to serving God and His Christ.

Wakeup is talking about the LITERAL “born again”, and not the METAPHORICAL one.”

What theology book does this stuff come from?
Scripture makes sense but this ?

You are born again; then you are spirit. Are you really?
Jesus said this: If you are born *OF* the spirit ;you are spirit.
But I see you still having KFC and Burgers?

    Good one, Wakeup. :)

Ed, you can be metaphorically “born again” when you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and King.

Wakeup is talking about LITERALLY being born again of spirit in order to dwell in the spirit realms of heaven.

You may be METAPORICALLY born again right now, but you are not yet LITERALLY born again in the way Jesus mentioned to Nicodemus.

If and when that LITERAL rebirth comes for you, you will be a spirit being – and have no more need for KFC and Burger King. :)

You guys are arguing about two different kinds of “born again” – which is partly due to Wakeup not directly answering simple questions.

The things Wakeup and I are trying to show you comes directly from the “theological book” of the Bible, Nick.

    Specifically, in John 3.

I am glad that you can pick up the frequency Mike.
May be I am not good enough in explaining things.
Maybe you could do a better job.

    Hi MB,
    You say
“Ed, you can be metaphorically “born again” when you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and King.”

Where is this rebirth spoken of?

Intellectual ACCEPTANCE of the fact that Jesus Christ IS Lord of all changes nothing

This is called: the renewing of the mind.
Have come out of babylon, and has come into Zion,
Spiritually. In babylon is war, confusion, and disobedience.
In zion is peace and God fearing.

    Hi WU,
The renewing of the mind by the saints is by feeding on the Word.
Such food is not for the philosophers

    True and yes I agree.
    There is the secular knowledge,
    and the spiritual knowledge.
The earthly knowledge, and the heavenly knowledge.

    Hi,
The word washes the clothing of the saints
    Eph5
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, 26 so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that He might present to Himself the church [a]in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.

    Nick.

Jesus is the Word of God; (Word).
God's Church foundation is the Word.
The head of the church is Jesus and the head of Jesus is God
because Jesus is of God. The Word is of God.
    THE WORD OF GOD.

No one can come to the father but by Me(Jesus).
This is true: no one can come to God without seeking the word. Can not come to know God by reading comic books.

If two or three are gathered in my name : I will be in the mids of It; this is true:
If two or there are discussing the scriptures the spirit will be there, because it is the word they are discussing;not football.

    Agreed.

And which did God create first, spirit things, or flesh things?  It was spirit things, right?

No Mike, this verse is in contradiction with your current belief:

“Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which
is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.”  (1 Cor 15:46)

    Ed,

You are using a completely different teaching that was made in a completely different context to refute another teaching.  Not a good idea.

Ed, (1) which did God create first……… the angels, or mankind?

    (2) Are the angels flesh?  Or spirit?

    (3) Therefore, God created spirit things before He ever created flesh things.

    (4) But thanks for bringing attention to one of my posts that Wakeup never addressed.  :)

    Hi Mike,

    1) I believe Angels (see Job 38:4-7)
    2) I believe Angels were both flesh and Spirit
as we shall be also in the resurrection.   (see Matt.22:30)
    3) opinion
    4) Yes I know, he does not answer my questions either.  :)

    Hi Wakeup,

Are you suggesting that you will not have
God's divine nature until you are resurrected?

    Ed,

The teaching Jesus gave to Nicodemus is about being born of something other than flesh in order to see or enter the kingdom of heaven.

This must be a LITERAL rebirth of spirit, and not flesh.

Don't confuse this with the metaphorical “born again” that comes from giving your fleshly life over to serving God and His Christ.

Wakeup is talking about the LITERAL “born again”, and not the METAPHORICAL one.

    Hi Wakeup,

Do you also believe as Wakeup does that “Born Again” means Resurrection?

I have said: that no one can come to know God,
by NOT reading the word.(Jesus is the word of God).
    In print.
We can not come to God by reading the qur'an.

    Are you playing games?
If I have the picture of the kingdom in my head
it is obvious that I see the kingdom.Which you dont.
I know you dont,by your comments.

    Hi Wakeup,

You say you can “see the Kingdom of God” but you also say that you are not “Born Again”??

This teaching of yours (and I guess Mike also) is in stark contradiction to Jesus words in John 3:3,
will you please try to explain why YOU are right and Jesus is (according to you) wrong?

“Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
EXCEPT A MAN BE BORN AGAIN,
he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
