Hi KW,
The sheep found in the sheep and goat judgement are OUTSIDE the salvation offered in Jesus Christ.
This salvation is of works and we know ours cannot be relying on the works of Jesus
It is the pure mercy of God offered to those of the world who are merciful.
And that mercy is specific-it must be towards the brothers .
Salvation in Jesus is not of works.March 21, 2012 at 8:39 am#286528kerwinParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Nov. 11 2009,12:56) Hi,
So when Jesus returns and those asleep and alive in the Spirit of God awake and are raised in new imperishable bodies they meet with Jesus in the air.[1Cor15, 1 thess 4]
It is possible that this occurs in the 7 yr tribulation, after the time of sorrows, in the 3 1/2 yrs called the wrath of God, as they will not suffer His wrath.[1thess 1.10]
Perhaps at this time the tribunal of Christ will be held and the wedding feast follows while some useless bridesmaids are excluded and must endure the tribulation.[Mt25]
Nick,This applies to the sheep but not the goats.
Habakkuk 2:4
King James Version (KJV)4Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
Here is the same lesson using different words.
Matthew 7:20
King James Version (KJV)20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
The Sheep do their works by faith.

Nick,You missed my point.
The words “the just shall live by his faith.” does not mean that you are saved by works but rather that your just deeds are the fruit of your faith. That is why the sheep are known by their fruit.
There is only one way into the sheep pen and that is through Jesus Anointed; who is the gate.
March 21, 2012 at 6:57 pm#286643NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Yes Jesus is the way and good fruit is of the Spirit.
But God is merciful.Forgive them Father for the know not what they do.
March 21, 2012 at 8:31 pm#286668kerwinParticipantNick,
You are correct that God has given Jesus the power to forgive sins, Matthew 9:6, Mark 2:10, and Luke 5:24. You are also correct that judgment is based on knowledge, Luke 12:47-48. Even in that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the light. The sheep are those that will come when they hear his voice. The fact they might not hear his voice is irrelevant. The hunger’s of their soul is what is important.
Psalm 42:1
King James Version (KJV)1As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

There are OTHER sheep found in the sheep and goat judgement.
Hearing the voice of the shepherd is not mentioned there. The vineyard workers found late are given the same wage.
March 21, 2012 at 11:07 pm#286701kerwinParticipantNick,
Jesus is teaching his students, and not outsiders, with the parable of the Sheep and the goats. He explicitly states “all the nations” are being judged, Matthew 25:32. Why do you believe there are exceptions?
The salvation of the sheep is not by works as without faith no one can please God, Hebrews 11:6.
James 2
New International Version (NIV)12 Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, 13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
James teaches believers they must be merciful or face judgment without mercy as one of the goats.
You are mixing two teachings together.
John 10:16
New International Version (NIV)
16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.“This sheep pen” is the Jewish people just as it is written:
Matthew 15
New International Version (NIV)24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.”
The Gentile people are outside that pen.
Both the lost sheep of Israel and of the Gentle nations are members of the sheep that are separated out from “all nations”.
Note: Corrected spelling of Gentile and flipped the order of the last paragraphs.

Whatever you DID for these my brothers of mine you DID for me.
There is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.
They have passed from death to life.March 22, 2012 at 4:06 am#286746kerwinParticipantNick,
You quote from this passage.
Matthew 25:40
New International Version (NIV)40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
That is in accordance with God’s command to love your neighbor.
Leviticus 19:18
New International Version (NIV)
18 “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.This is what Jesus taught about that law.
Luke 10
New International Version (NIV)36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”
Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise. As you wrote; there is no condemnation in the siblings that live by the Spirit for against such fruit there is no Law even as it is written.
Galatians 5
New International Version (NIV)22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Those siblings in Christ who reject the Spirit and live by the flesh are goats; and will not inherit the kingdom, Galatians 5:19-21.

All who have not already passed from death to life in Jesus face this judgement.
Yes it is according to works of the LAW.
We are outside the lawThat is not our hope and gentiles are due to perish except for the mercy of God.

Nick,No one has ever been judged by the Law. All are judged by whether they believe God. That faith is credited as righteousness to the Jews or Gentiles outside of the new covenant. It is the means by which those in the new covenant put on the new self created like God in true holiness and righteousness. That is why it is written the righteous will live by faith.
Those with faith are the sheep even as it is written about Abel.
Hebrews 11:4
King James Version (KJV)4By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
March 23, 2012 at 11:15 pm#287125NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Really?
Just faith and not obedience?
Why do you call me LORD LORD and not do as I say?
Yes if gentiles who do not have the Law behave as if this is accredited as righteousness. But this is not the way of those in Christ who have the law of the Spirit
Demons also believe and tremble

Nick.It is written that no one can please God without faith.
Faith that does not bear fruit is dead; therefore the faith of a demon is dead.

In what way can a demon be saved?
Their awareness of their fate is very real. Basic faith.
But scripture points out they have more faith than many men.March 24, 2012 at 6:21 am#287187kerwinParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Mar. 24 2012,09:54) Hi KW,

Nick,I did not state or infer that demons could inherit the kingdom. Instead I did the opposite by applying the principle from Scripture, that faith without works is dead, to demons. Demons have faith but their faith is incomplete because it does not give birth to righteousness. For that reason their faith, and those with a like faith, do not please God.
