We who are in Christ worship God with him.
Your faith is in other gods.
So you deny the legitimacy of songs to Christ and about Christ?Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying:
“ You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
10 And have made us[d] kings[e] and priests to our God;
And we[f] shall reign on the earth.”So you're saying that the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders in heaven were wrong for singing to the Lamb and about the Lamb? Are you sayng that they were singing and speaking contrary to the Spirit?
KJ
Hi Jack,I sing songs about and praise and give glory to the Son daily. I do the same to his God.
The scriptures NEVER tell us that only God has glory. They just say that He won't share HIS with another. Yet, you trinitarians act in direct violation of your God's wishes by applying His glory to His Son.
And remember the WHOLE TRUTH? Doesn't the scipture you posted say that the Lamb (one person) redeemed people to God ( a different person)? And doesn't it say they will be kings to our God and priests to our God? Hmmmm……just like Jesus is a King to his God and a priest to his God. Maybe all these people are really God too.

Tradition dies hard
Ya know Nick,They have seen us post “the only true God” verse many times. I think they fail to understand the extreme nature of the rest of that verse. Jesus starts by saying “This means ETERNAL LIFE……”
I want that…….badly.

More half truths. God's revelation to us was progressive. Decades after Jesus spoke those words it was revealed to John that Jesus is the “eternal life which was WITH the Father” (1 John 1:3); and that He is “the true God and the eternal life” (1 John 5:20).Don't forget: A half truth is a whole lie!

Neither scripture you posted says anything about Jesus being God. In fact, if you were to read the whole chapters, you'll find plenty of evidence to the contrary.So, follow your own advice and start speaking whole truths.
mike
Mike,It does say that Jesus is God.
1 John 5:20 (The Message)18-21We know that none of the God-begotten makes a practice of sin—fatal sin. The God-begotten are also the God-protected. The Evil One can't lay a hand on them. We know that we are held firm by God; it's only the people of the world who continue in the grip of the Evil One. And we know that the Son of God came so we could recognize and understand the truth of God—what a gift!—and we are living in the Truth itself, in God's Son, Jesus Christ. This Jesus is both True God and Real Life. Dear children, be on guard against all clever facsimiles.
You should compare all translations before you spout off.

Mike,Verse 13 says that both the Father and the Lamb receive “honor.” There are different words for honor in the Greek and this one is equivalent to the word “worship.” It means “to value or esteem in the highest degree.” Both the Father and the Lamb are valued and esteemed in the highest degree.
Do word studies before you rant.
I am glad though that you sing praise songs to Jesus. You are certainly better off than Nick who has suggested that those around the heavenly throne were idolaters for singing songs of praise to the Lamb.

If bowing down to is not true worship then what is it? The commandment did not say exactly “do not worship them.” It said, “do not bow down to them nor serve them.”We are commanded to bow down to and serve Jesus. Right?

Come on Roo!
And you should check the actual Greek against your (obviously) trinitarian sponsored translation.
