Hi KatjoHmmm, I have questioned the Eternal hell doctrine for years, Iv believed in everything from eternal torment to innihalation to Universalism (all are eventually saved) , the reason I researched it so much is because I couldnt understand why God would allow eternal suffering. It disturbed me so much I nearly lost my Love for God.
I am now of the final conclusion that because God is Just kind and mercifull, all things will work out if we trust in Him. We get our love from God. I trust Him now.
I DO believe in Hell, punishment, Justice, Vengeance is mine saith the Lord. Jesus says, that it is the outer darkness where there is weeping and knashing of teeth, not a good place to go. The word everlasting found in many bibles though was translated from another word which means 'prescribed time' or something similar, if you search you will find that.
The bible then says that eventually there the lake of fire which is the second DEATH. Many seem to think the words 'second death' means eternal concious punishment. This is what I dont agree on. Second death is what it obviously says.
All through the bible is evidence of Gods love.
-The LORD is compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.(Psalm 103:8)
-Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.(Micah 7:18)
– “I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.(Isaiah 43:2 )
– He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever.(Psalm 103:9)

ED THAT IS NOT SO! God is a very loving God that we should not be afraid of. We either except Him for what He did for us, or we suffer the concequences. You cannot not leave part of the word out. Hell is also for ever and ever(that is scriptual for hell) just as heaven is. When you become saved you are literally saving yourself from Gods wrath. He so wants us to come to Him but if we dont than that is telling Him, you dont except Him as your Savior you dont beleive and want Him in your life. Do you really think we could go threw life and do all kind of sin, dis-obey God and not suffer any consequence? What would be the point of judgement day if there is no hell? You beleive what God says about heaven, but yet your saying you dont beleive Him when He tells you about hell. There is more scripture about hell than there is about heaven! And the second death is hell. You die in this life,(not your soul) thats why we need to accept Him now, but when His judgement comes(whats the book of life for) you are either going to spend eternity with Him or in hell(second death) I beleive by reading the bible there is different stages of hell and heaven until the final judgement. What about Lazerus and the rich man? Our preacher preaches on hell and says alot of people dont want to hear it BUT it is part of Gods word and He is to preach Gods word, not part of it all of it! And thats exactly what the J.w. say, no hell! I read on the guy who started that, started going to church and kept hearing about hell and didnt like it so he started a bible study on his own, wrote there own and follow it. whats there to be afraid of? If we are true christians, we are not going there! Thank God Im Saved!! GOD DOES NOT SEND US TO HELL PEOPLE, WE SEND OURSELFS!

Katjo, I would not consider myself lucky to be saved from hell, I would love and follow God even if there was no heaven and no hell. If there was a hell and people were in it, I would not be able to go on to heaven untill I knew they would be ok somehow.Do you believe Hell is eternal punishment with no escape, please dont tell me you do?

Im not denying katjo, but understanding Gods word, with the love God has shown me. And the proof of Gods love throughout the whole bible, and throughout the whole world, and through the evidence of Gods Great patience, it is evident everywhere you look. Within and without.
When you die your soul is going to heaven or hell if you were not a Christian when you die you dont get a second chance(scriptual) BUT if your alive but NOT a Christian and Jesus returns you can repent and except Him as your Savior. you still might have to go threw some of Gods wrath, but you can be saved.Scripture says even than there will be some who still will reject him. read Rev. 20;12-15( second death)
