My Husband is the head of our Family, therefore He is greater then I.  But He is to love me, and He would let me do as a member of our Family. The Head of Christs is God the Father.   Also He was in Heaven before He came to earth.  In John He says to the Father
John 17:5 ” And now O Father glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory I had with You before the world was. We have to remember that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Why do you think the Father calls Jesus God?  God is a tittle, like a Family name.  Almighty means great. In 1 Corinth. 15:28
In the Future God will be all in all. We are called the Family of God. Why are we called the Son's of God?  In John 1:1 The Word is called God, the way I understand the translators were in  Aw of Jehovah and Yeshua and used God instead. They were afraid that they would mispronounce the names. There are many God”s in the Old Testament times.   Even Satan is called the God of this earth.

You say that God is a title and that there are many gods, but the Apostle Paul disagrees with you when he says…

So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world “AND THAT THERE IS NO GOD *BUT ONE*. FOR EVEN IF THERE ARE SO-CALLED GODS”, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), 1 Cor 8:4, 5

Paul says there is only “One God” and that all others are so-called Gods, meaning they are not gods at all, but to the world there are many gods and many lords.

Now you have to reconcile why Paul says there is only “One God” and yet we find the Father, Paul, John, Thomas, Luke, and Peter calling Jesus God and in fact calling him their “Great God and Saviour”.

Surely you wouldn’t say Jesus is a so-called god would you?

There is only one way to reconcile these scriptures, and that is the Trinitarian view.

The Lamb is worshipped as God!

Yes Jesus himself said “I and the Father are One”. In that same context he makes himself equal to the Father.

Read the part in John 10 where Jesus speaks of his sheep being in his hand, yet also in the Fathers hand.

Also, what does that have to do with my post?

Jesus was also a man, he took on the likeness of sinful flesh and gave his Body as a Lamb without spot or blemish for our sins. Acts 20:28

According to John, Thomas, Paul, Luke and Peter Jesus is their Lord and God.

First I want to thank you for setting us boys straight yesterday. We were all getting out of hand. We need mother figures here to grab us by the ear and make us behave. So thanks again.

Second, Your husband is your covenantal head. He is NOT your superior. Paul said that the man is nothing without the woman and the woman is nothing without the man.  

Third, You may believe that the Father is still greater than Jesus if you wish but this does not make it so. Jesus told His disciples that this was why it was necessary for Him to go away. While in the flesh the Father was greater than Him and so He could not do as much for them. Please read the context.

God is light and there is no darkness in Him.

The light that shines for us is Jesus Christ for the light of God is in him.

We too must be as lights not put under a bushel but shining as a city on a hill to guide others.

You must misunderstand:

John 16:25-27 (King James Version)

25These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.

26At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

27For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

Jesus is the way to the Father Himself and The Father is The Lord God.

Nick, is the Father the Lord God?

Have you been reconciled to the Father? If so who is your Lord God? Is it Jesus?

Do you really have 2 lords? No man can serve 2 masters
