There is no original scroll all are copies of the originals, the KJV is also a copy of a copy ,stop dreaming

I am using the scrolls just as an example.
The true faultless copy is the kjv.
Because there are no contradictions in it.

why the you do not answer me ???  GOD IS LOVE AND GOD IS THE SOURCE OF EVIL

    ISA 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
    Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter

    T.

    Only God is good.
He can do anything, and that includes evil.
He does evil for the good of his people.
For we have to know good and evil to the max.
Not just to know evil;but evil to the maximum.
Before he will destroy evil all together.

The tares are to grow to ripening stage;then harvested, and burned.

    wakeup.

    W

The word evil, is the wrong word,

God bring disaster over the evil people for they are killing the poor, the widows, the orphan s,it is for justice ,not evil

    Evil is the wrong word,

Which edition is that?  The “he” or “she” bible.  The one I have seen you use is neither, it is a later edition.  Which leads me to assume you have no idea what you are talking about.

Don't worry about these man made theologians.  They just trying to rattle you.  Now he is making you doubt your KJV.
But I know this won't work on you.
Keep explaining the scriptures, you are doing an excellent job.
They cannot explain, nor agree with each other, but only side with each other when one is against us.

    Journey,

If it does not work it is because he chooses to behave in a foolish manner and not humble himself to God.  Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth.  Seek to be meek.

What edition of the AV of King James bible do you want to cherry pick and declare is the unaltered version.  Perhaps the 17th Century wicked bible that instructs believers to commit adultery in one verse due to an editing error?

    Kerwin.

To be meek to you is to comply with your confused doctrine.
Regarding the truth I am not meek, but bold.

Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Matthew 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Matthew 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

That was a meek man being bold.

    Wakeup,

Sometimes being meek is to be submissive to God but I believe that is what poor in spirit means in the B-attitudes.

Meek in the B-attitudes probably means long enduring of trials and tribulation.

I should have quoted Matthew 5:3 instead.

    Matthew 5:3
    Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

I chose to use the B-attitudes to encourage you to do what is right but if prefect negative reinforcement then here:

    James 4:5-7
    Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? 6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

    Kerwin,

He is more humble than all of us put together,
but you experts see it as arrogance.

You guys are so worried about technicalities more than the truth. If you had the truth, you would be able to explain scriptures, quote them in the right context, and understand prophesies. So far, you've wasted all your time on books about the bible, and forgot to actually seek the scriptures themselves.
If Wakeup spent as much time as you guys in arguing about words in Greek, Hebrew etc, then he would be seriously lacking in all the knowledge he has attained over the years, from doing what Christ instructed and that is to feed on his flesh, which you still cannot understand.

Not one of you can answer rightly in all subjects, but set yourselves up to be cornered. Wakeup's questions are fully loaded, and you cannot answer correctly because your concentrating outside the Word and relying on the interpretations of man. When you are corrected, you hide or change the subject. Is this being meek? Answer me this honestly Kerwin?

Give us some examples of scriptures that are different in the KJV so that we can know what YOU are talking about.

Yes Kerwin.  This is one of the times I mentioned to journey in the “LXX” thread – where Jesus quoted the LXX version – and not the Hebrew version.
The LXX version is as follows:

    Isaiah 61 LXX
    1 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me; he has sent me to preach glad tidings to the poor, to heal the broken in heart, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind;

    2 to declare the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of recompence; to comfort all that mourn;

The NIV footnote of Luke 4:18-19 says:  Isaiah 61:1,2 (see Septuagint).

It's hard to believe the LXX didn't exist if Jesus himself quoted from it in Luke 4:18-19.

We do not defend the NIV.  If their footnote says refer to the Septuagint, then that has nothing to do with the KJV.
I would not call the footnotes of the NIV Jesus himself.

    Hi journey,

I addressed this LXX point in the other thread today.  I also addressed the “broken hearted” thing.  If you want, you can copy and paste that post over to this thread.

But the bottom line is that the LXX version of Isaiah 61 has “recovery of sight to the blind”, and the MT (Hebrew) version does not.

Since Jesus' quote in Luke 4:18 DOES have “recovery of sight to the blind”, it's clear he was quoting the LXX version of the OT that time.

I am just using your arguments against other versions against the AKJV. The AKJV has at least a couple of major flaws one is basically says Jesus made himself and another states God has blood he sacrificed on the cross. It has many technical flaws that make it harder to understand than Scripture is in the first place.

    Wakeup,

I looked of the word meek in the dictionary and discovered it can mean “deficient in spirit and courage :  submissive” or “enduring injury with patience and without resentment :  mild”.

I intended the first meaning but that seems better covered by the words “poor in spirit” in the one b-attitude.  The second meaning sounds appropriate for a b-attitude as well and is most likely what the one stating blessed are the meek is speaking of.

My point is you are not behaving in a manner of one who is poor in spirit.  The truth is hard to deal with and can be unpleasant but to learn more of God's righteousness we need to address many unpleasant truths.

    Journey,

It is a rare 17th century edition that only had a one year printing and most copies were destroyed after that.  It is not online though you can read about it at Wikipedia or another online source.  Dropping “not”s was common but this time it was a critical place.    It is called the Wiked Bible, The Adulterous Bible or The Sinners' Bible.  I read some of the article at wikipedia.

    Kerwin.

You are not clear what poor in spirit means.

    Wakeup,

Poor in spirit is another way of saying submissive.  It is not talking about the Holy Spirit.

    Kerwin.

    That is not correct.

Who do you think it is that Jesus is telling us that being submissive to will result in a student entering the kingdom of God?

Sometimes being meek is to be submissive to God but I believe that is what poor in spirit means in the B-attitudes.

Meek in the B-attitudes probably means long enduring of trials and tribulation.

I should have quoted Matthew 5:3 instead.

    Wakeup,

A man can be poor in wealth, which according to the Merriam-Webster's online dictionary means they “have a less than adequate amount” of wealth.   A man poor in the Spirit of Christ would therefore have a less than adequate amount of the Spirit of Christ.  I personally am terrified of having a less than adequate amount of the Spirit of Christ and would rater have “a large amount” of it.   On the other hand I desire to have “a less that adequate amount” of the spirit of arrogance (haughtiness).  In other words I desire to be humble (having “a less than adequate measure of haughtiness”) in spirit.

    Proverbs 16:18
    Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

    18 Pride goeth before destruction,
and an haughty spirit before a fall.

    Proverbs 29:23
    Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

23 A man’s pride shall bring him low:
but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

This fits God's desire for us and it fits the context but it has the possible weakness that it is also one of our English cultural definitions.
