Yes that is possible. Demons could be the Nephilim, the offspring of angel and women, who were destroyed in the flood. At least according to the Book of Enoch.

TO ME DEMONS ARE NOT FALLEN ANGEL ,DEMONS ARE THE SOULS OF THE HYBRID SONS OF THE ANGELS THAT MATERIALIZED THEMSELVES AND WHEN THE FLOOD CAME THE ANGELS WENT BACK TO HEAVEN (WERE THEY COULD ) BUT THEIR OFFSPRING THAT WAS HALF SPIRIT AND HALF HUMAN DIED BUT THEIR SOUL AD NO PLACE TO GO ;BEING NOT HUMAN COULD NOT GO WERE THE HUMANS GO WHEN THEY DIE ,AND THE ANGELS SIDE OF THEM ,DO NOT DIE ,BUT COULD NOT GO TO HEAVEN BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT ANGELS ;SO THEY WERE SPIRIT SOULS WITHOUT A BODY FLOWING AROUND TO FIND A LIVING HUMAN BODY (WILLING OR WEAK)

I have heard that and I have heard other stories such as they are ghosts in general.

You said

I heard that and other hypothesis. I do not believe that as I do not believe that angels and humans are fertile with one another. When Jesus stated the angels neither marry or are given in marriage I hear they were not created with the ability to reproduce after their kind while others hear it as they are forbidden to reproduce after their kind.
July 15, 2014 at 10:26 pm#431721ProclaimerParticipantAngels do not reproduce like us correct. However some angels left their former estate (bodies) and came down to Earth and were worshipped like gods. The word “estate/abode/dwelling’ is used in one other Bible passage and it refers to the body.
Jude 1:6
And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day,If they abandoned their bodies and partook of flesh then that would explain it. But is this possible. Well it seems that angels often were mistaken as men and appeared as men, and even the Sodomites thought they were men. Further, the angels at the tomb of Christ in some gospels are called men in others. Sorry I haven’t got time to put in references here, but if you are interested in this inquiry, then I can provide this later.

yes that as well ; but it seems that they need a body to be really active this i believe is why the mediums are given their own body to be used ,and so become an agent of the devil

I cannot think of one case of a body swapping in Scripture unless you hold that is what the change between the mortal body and the immortal body is.

i was not saying that it is a swapping of souls but OVER POWER OF ONE FOR THE OTHER ,
MT 9:33 After the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke; and the crowds were amazed, and were saying, “ Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.”
MT 17:18 And Jesus rebuked him, and the demon came out of him, and the boy was cured at once.
MK 7:26 Now the woman was a Gentile, of the Syrophoenician race. And she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter.
MK 7:29 And He said to her, “Because of this answer go; the demon has gone out of your daughter.”
MK 7:30 And going back to her home, she found the child lying on the bed, the demon having left.
LK 4:33 In the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,
LK 4:35 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst of the people, he came out of him without doing him any harm.
LK 7:33 “For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon!’
LK 8:29 For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had seized him many times; and he was bound with chains and shackles and kept under guard, and yet he would break his bonds and be driven by the demon into the desert.
LK 9:42 While he was still approaching, the demon slammed him to the ground and threw him into a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the boy and gave him back to his fatherSO CHRIST USES HIS GODLY POWER TO REMOVE THE DEMONS OUT OF THOSE PEOPLE

That sounds like he is claim these angels swapped their angel bodies for human ones.

I see what you mean ,yes but those to are not the demon ,those are angel ,while demons are the offspring of the angels and that their flesh died at the flood ,those are the soul of those demon ,
as for the angel i don’t think the swap their body but materialized and only for the reason to go after the women of men ,but when the flood came they left that corps and went back to heaven BUT NOT TO THEIR PREVIOUS PLACE BUT INTO A LOCK UP DUNGEON
July 17, 2014 at 12:55 pm#435265ProclaimerParticipantI cannot think of one case of a body swapping in Scripture unless you hold that is what the change between the mortal body and the immortal body is.
Wouldn’t call it body swapping. It could be that the spiritual body has physical capability and because these angels left their former positions/abode and came to Earth, they essentially abandoned their spiritual abode and lived like us.
We also need to explain why angels look like men and act like men and were confused as men.
I suspect that the transfiguration of Yeshua is a clue. He was in the flesh, a man, a body like ours. Yet he transfigured before others and appeared as the Yeshua in Heaven. A being of light and glory.
July 17, 2014 at 4:01 pm#435963kerwinParticipantt8,
Then you are speaking of one changing shape into another. That sounds like when Adam’s body changed into a body that was put in bondage to corruption and the reverse of that when the last trump sounds and the body that has been subject to decay is liberated, Romans 8:20-21.
Do you then believe certain angels chose to subject their body to decay so that they would be able to feel the sin of lust?
July 17, 2014 at 8:51 pm#436668ProclaimerParticipantI don’t think we are told the real reason for doing so. Speculation leads me to think they wanted to pro-create which angels cannot do in their correct domain. And pro-create is certainly what they did. Perhaps they wanted to be gods and be worshiped in a world where beings made in the image of God would look to them as gods. Maybe they wanted to help man after the fall by giving them technology and know how.
But even if their intentions were for what they thought good, they would have known that doing that which God said not to do was going to be trouble. Even Eve knew not to eat that fruit, but she was tempted and it looked desirable. Why do humans get into trouble? Sometimes we are curious. What does fire feel like. Ouch.
Maybe they thought they could do this and God would forgive them. Bake the cake and eat it too. It didn’t turn out that way for them.

There is nothing said in Scripture but the book of watchers from 1 Enoch does speak of angels feeling lust for human woman though like Scripture is does not speak of them changing bodies to perform acts of lust.
1 Enoch
Chapter 6
1 And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters.
2 And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: ‘Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men
3 and beget us children.’ And Semjaza, who was their leader, said unto them: ‘I fear ye will not
4 indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin.’ And they all answered him and said: ‘Let us all swear an oath, and all bind ourselves by mutual imprecations
5 not to abandon this plan but to do this thing.’ Then sware they all together and bound themselves
6 by mutual imprecations upon it. And they were in all two hundred; who descended in the days of Jared on the summit of Mount Hermon, and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn
7 and bound themselves by mutual imprecations upon it. And these are the names of their leaders: Samlazaz, their leader, Araklba, Rameel, Kokablel, Tamlel, Ramlel, Danel, Ezeqeel, Baraqijal,
8 Asael, Armaros, Batarel, Ananel, Zaq1el, Samsapeel, Satarel, Turel, Jomjael, Sariel. These are their chiefs of tens.Chapter 7
1 And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms
2and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. And they
3 became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: Who consumed
4 all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, the giants turned against
5 them and devoured mankind. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and
6 fish, and to devour one another’s flesh, and drink the blood. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.July 21, 2014 at 2:21 am#451596sonofGodParticipantI Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Yes, three distinct parts, body is not soul nor spirit, soul is not body nor spirit, spirit is neither soul nor body, at least in this immediate context. However, soul is a form of spirit, but it is not eternal life spirit, it is not holy spirit. That is the life (soul) that moves our body is spirit, but without the gift of holy spirit, there is no eternal life in a person.
Genesis 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
God breathed into man the breath of life.
This scripture does not teach that God created this breath of life into the man, but breathed it into his nostrils.
Does breathing into = creating? Does breathing into a balloon make the balloon a living soul? Of course not.
This breath of life is that which transforms a body made of dust into a living soul.
But God was not finished with simply body and soul.
God created something in Adam and Eve something that is the image of God.
What is the image of God?
After all God is invisible.
I Timothy 1:17
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
John 4:24 God is spirit…..
The image of God is spirit.
God created spirit in Adam and Eve.
It is this spirit that enabled man to communicate directly with God, ie, communication here is a two way street. God to man and man to God.
Man, by sinning, by his disobedience lost his connection to God. That loss is death, spiritual death.
Adam and Eve still had body and soul, but no longer had the quality of the image of God, they were reduced to animals, who have only body and soul.
Genesis 1:20-21
And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
And God created great whales, and every living creature [soul] that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.animals have soul. Soul is not exclusive to man.
Animals die, they do not have eternal life.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
God most certainly wants us to be able and to distinguish between soul and spirit by the word of God, by our knowledge of scripture.

1Th 5:23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through.<May YOUR whole spirit> , soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
IT SEEMS TO ME THAT “your spirit ” mention by Paul mean the spirit (that is reflect in you by being you ,in thoughts and heart ,for Jesus says;Jn 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”
so their is only two parts in a human or spirit being ;body and soul ,this is why Paul says “may your whole body and soul be kept blameless “for our spirit is the one that his choosing to do gods will ,but it is our soul that his the foundation of us and by the body we do the things either of the devil or of God through our acquired knowledge and understanding and so serve either the flesh or God ,
our spirit (knowledge ,understanding ,decision maker ,ect) the soul is us ,(the ship) the body is our means of operation ,driving thing we wish to do ,bring forth our wills ,and so could become children of God or the devil

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
I am curious to read your understanding on this scripture ,
I Thessalonians 5:23
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
this verse is referring to our live in the flesh right ?
July 21, 2014 at 10:29 am#453892sonofGodParticipantAccording to Hebrews 4:12, It is possible to distinguish between what soul is and what spirit is, not only doctrinally, but practically.
If we are to live in, by and walk in or by the spirit, Galatians 5:16-17
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. It behooves us to know what “spirit” is and the difference between soul vs. spirit.
It does not say that we are to walk by soul or psuche or nephesh, but by pneuma.
I Thes 5:23 is referring to our lives right now.
As born again sons of God, we are not a two part being, that is body and soul only, but three part beings, body and soul and spirit.
It is referring to our present life that we live in the flesh.
Paul states this most beautifully in Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
