Can our spirit be separate from us?
Without it we are dead meat[jas]The Spirit is as the finger of God[lk11]
Nick……The Spirit (IS) the finger of GOD, and that is what enlightens every man coming into the world. NOW that you seen to understand that you should be able to understand what SPIRIT IS, (INTELLECT) in man, and Intellect in and of GOD. Take you mind or intellect away you no longer exist you are as you say dead meat. IMO

God and his human children are not emotionless intellects but that is from your bible.
God is love and His children manifest that love.
Knowledge can be a vanityNick……….who said intellect is emotionless ,in fact (TRUE) intellect drives our emotions. You give us your definition not the dictionaries, and true Knowledge is no vanity either. Robots do not have emotions and you do say we are robots so perhaps….

Nick……….Robots do not have true knowledge themselves as we have been given and when did I say we (ARE) robots. The only thing i recall saying is that we may have more in common with them then we think, Meaning by that, that GOD puts into our minds His knowledge and understandings. I was not say we (ARE) robots . If this is in error please post it. Truth is written , but that does not mean it is understood. IMO

The jews were expecting the messiah.
They were waiting for the anointed one of God, the Christ.
Thy knew the Son of God was coming as Ps 2 and prov 30 had promised.But the anointing was what distinguished him not his own origins. Within his own culture he was practically an unknown until God manifested his anointing on him at the Jordan. Then God spoke and declared he was His Son. Then the people cried out that God had visited His people.
It was all because of the anointing.[Acts 10.38]

We can follow him through the baptisms of water and the Spirit and by then submitting to the Spirit.He gives us the power to BECOME sons of God

NNO, Christ was the son of God long before the Jordan,you just believe he is not ,but scriptures says otherwise
