Hi BD:
You are correct that repentance is needed for salvation, but no, not the only thing.
Roman’s 10
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Also, John is the greatest of men born of woman from the sperm of man, Jesus was indeed born of a woman, but not of the sperm of man, but conceived of the Spirit of the Living God.
Matthew 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Jesus Christ was already in the kingdom so was not included.
No mention of sperm in the scriptures you show.
Romans 10 does not show the way of salvation for those yet outside the kingdom.
The book is written to those within the kingdom showing them how to take up their position in Christ.
May 31, 2015 at 3:31 pm#798692NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
Preaching romans 10 as a door into the kingdom is one of the most pernicious heresies around.
Other ones include giving your life to Jesus or inviting Jesus into your own heart.
The wide road is crowded with those who think they have been saved
May 31, 2015 at 5:45 pm#798693kerwinParticipantAlso, John is the greatest of men born of woman from the sperm of man, Jesus was indeed born of a woman, but not of the sperm of man, but conceived of the Spirit of the Living God.
He is speaking in terms of flesh is born of flesh and spirit is born of Spirit. The Spirit supersedes the flesh.

Hi Nick.
“He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him,
to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:11-13)
Here we see a claim of “no-sperm” by the words… not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man
the “no-sperm” claim goes all the way back to “Him”…
“as many as received him”
“Him” who was born under the “no-sperm” claim, also known as the virgin birth. (see Matt.1:23)

No.
Being born from above has nothing to do with human conception.
Jesus was anointed and reborn from above at the Jordan.
Jn3
“That which is born of flesh is flesh;
and
that which is born of Spirit is spirit”
The second Adam BECAME a life giving spirit”1cor15
May 31, 2015 at 8:36 pm#798705Ed JParticipantHi Nick,
Do you not believe this verse…
“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and
they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” (Matt 1:23)May 31, 2015 at 8:39 pm#798706NickHassanParticipantHi ED,
The Sons of God are led by the Spirit of God[rom8]
“But as many as received him , to them he gave the POWER TO BECOME the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name; which were born NOT OF FLESH, nor the will of man, but of God ”
Those who repent and are baptised in the name of Jesus have the option of being reborn of the Spirit of God
and if they are led by that Spirit they become sons of God.

Yes Jesus became the anointed one.
God was in him and people said
“God has visïted His people

Your last two posts do not answer my question, which is…
“a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son” (Matt 1:23)
Do you believe what it says in this verse is true – “Yes” or “No” ?

Lk 7.16
And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.

What happened to the Sons of Sceva?
June 1, 2015 at 11:36 am#798727942767ParticipantHi Nick:
I know that Jesus is talking about men being born again, but Jesus was also born of a woman. And true, that scripture does not mention, the word sperm, but it states men born of a woman. Were all men other than Jesus born of the sperm of man?

This is again your old argument relative to water baptism. All I did was quote the word of God that the Apostle Paul gave us in Romans 10, and if quoting the Word of God is heresy then you must have another bible that the one I have. We are saved by faith. When we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that God raised him from the dead, and that we can be reconciled to God through him because he is the propitiation for our sins, then we repent and are baptized. We are not baptized before we believe.

That is true.
June 1, 2015 at 2:28 pm#798733kerwinParticipantWe are saved by faith. When we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that God raised him from the dead, and that we can be reconciled to God through him because he is the propitiation for our sins, then we repent and are baptized
That is a misused passage as demons believe in their heart that Jesus was raised from the dead. In other words it is often used to argue the point that James addressed when he declares faith without works is dead.
If are still behaving like the old man then Jesus is not your Lord whatever you say with your mouth as your actions testify you do not believe he is your Lord in your heart.
