What does these words mean to you?, “eat”, “drink”
John 6: 53…….”truly, truly’ I say unto you, Except you “eat” the flesh , of the Son of man, and “drink” his blood , you have “No” life in you.
John 6: 54…..whosoever “eats” my flesh, and “drinks” my blood, “HAS” , eternal life; and I will raise him up on the “last day”.
Please notice that it says “Has” eternal life, not is going to have, as in a future tense, but it is given in a present tense .
Please notice , verse 53, says eat the flesh and drink his blood, like a one time action,
But verse 54 sayS , “eats” and “drinks, as if a continuous action.
I THINK THAT MEANS we must all keep in mind continually the Sacrifice of Jesus’ body, and also keep taking into us his “life” his spritual life, (the blood) ” life is “in” the blood”.
If the same spirit that was in him is in us the we should be doing the same thing he did and does. WE SHOULD COME to realize that if the same spirit that was in Jesus is in us then we should be able to do the same things as he did, even now.
Peace and love to you all and yours………….gene
