Some people are scared of seeking knowledge unless the knowledge they find is godless knowledge, the knowledge of this world. There seems to be plenty of goddess knowledge about to find. Finding godly knowledge in this present age seems to be harder than finding a priceless ruby the size of a grain of sand on a beach full of sand.

I DISAGREE WITH YOU ;TODAY IT IS VERY EASY TO FIND THE GODLY KNOWLEDGE ;ALMOST THE ENTIRE WORLD
HAS A COPY OF THE SCRIPTURES IT IS ALL IN THERE ,THE TRUTH IS IN IT ;THE PROBLEM DOES NOT LAY WITH THE AVAILABILITY OF THE KNOWLEDGE ,BUT WITH THE PEOPLE IT SELF ,FOR WHEN THEY READ IT THEY SEEM NOW POINTED OUT WITH THE FINGER OF GOD ,AND SOON THEY CLOSE THAT BOOK ,SOME HAVE RELIGION BACKGROUND AND SO THOSE HAVE THERE OWN MINDSET OF WHAT IS THE TRUTH AND SO FOLLOW THEIR OWN WISDOM ,ONLY THOSE THAT HAVE A HEART FOR TRUTH WILL SEE THE TRUTH OF GOD ,AND START TO BUILD WITH IT ,JUST AS JESUS SAID IT WOULD BE ,T,
People have a copy of Scripture but without understanding it is as beneficial as an empty glass given to a man dying of thirst with no water of food around.
I have seen enough to say that it is a very rare individual that understands even just the gospel of salvation from Scripture. Too many are perishing from lack of knowledge.
The Spirit is also available to teach. There are also many false Christs being taught.

Scripture has a definition of religion which is good and right. I believe you are using another definition.
I think it should be enough to have both Scripture and the ability to be drawn by the Spirit but people seem to be misled by their lack of knowledge.

Jn 3:19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

TO ALL……. THE LOVE OF GOD SHED ABROAD IN THE HEART IS FAR BETTER THEN ALL THE KNOW LEDGE IN THE WORLD, KNOWLEDGE MAKES MEN PROUD, AND AS A REST OF PRIDE THEY FALL.
Pro 13:10…..> Only by “PRIDE” comes contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

it looks like you cannot accept the truth from scriptures ,for you have to always give your opinions on every scripture that is quoted ,
so you have a lot of ego, and pride , and very little true knowledge ,and your heart seems not set in the truth of God ,for you tell God what really you believe and tell him to accept what you give and get lost ,
do you think thats the way to everlasting life ?
Nick…….While you do not agree with some of what I believe, I am OK with that, as long as we agree with the big points, that Jesus is not a God, not now or ever was or ever will be, and that he did not preexist but began his life as a pure human being on this earth, and he became a spiritual son of God at his baptize in the Jordan river, where he became the Messiah of God, and that he paid the price for our sin by sacrificing himself for us, and God raised him from death and the grave to eternal life.
The rest is minor IMO.

Nick…….True knowledge comes from all kind of sources even men. You should know that, to malign ones knowledge without proof, just because you disagree with it is, does not make you right brother. God can and does reveal understanding to those who knock, seek, and ask, even if others do not understand it. IMO

if you cannot support what you believe in scriptures without changing the meaning of the scriptures you do not have the truth of God but only yours ;
the only place where God’s truth can be found is in the scriptures,;Jn 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

In fact, common sense should tell you if all scripture was so clear why is there over five hundred or so different Christian denominations in existences today.
I contend that if a person is not led by God’s Spirit if truth, he can’t possible understand the scriptures we now have in our possesion. The corruption of our present scriptures is a fact proven many times over by critical textual scholars, over the last hundred years or so. If you think that that hasn’t happened you are simply blind to the truth, IMO.

GENE, YOU SAY THAT YOU DISAGREE WITH ME ,BUT THE WORLD HAS DISAGREED WITH CHRIST SINCE THE BEGINNING ,IT IS YOU DISBELIEVE IN THE BELIEVE THAT THE SCRIPTURES ARE THE TRUTH OF GOD ,THAT IS KILLING YOU ,NOT THE SCRIPTURES THEMSELVES ,THE FACT THAT THEIR HAVE BEEN A FORMATION OF DIFFERENT RELIGION WITH THE SAME SCRIPTURES DOES NOT ANNUL THE TRUTH IN IT ,MEN IS TAKEN ASHTRAY BY HIS OWN WAYS AND DILUTIONS NOT BY THE TRUTH OF GOD IN THE SCRIPTURES ,

Terricca………On many scriptures I have disagreed with you on, and not only me but others have also. It would take a week or so to go through every scripture. Everyone who reads scripture inturpets what they read to fit their own thoughts and personal belifs. So in that sense we are all inturpeting scripture as the spirit in us guides us, now if that spirit is the spirit of truth it will guide us “into all truth”, but if it is the spirit of false religion it will guide you into false teachings.
If you think our present bibical text has not been tampered with you are very decieved on that.
