I just saw the movie “The Grace Card” today. I can't remember the last time I went to the movies, because usually the movies are filled with Garbage hollywood pukes on society. I saw the previews for this and wanted to see something good for a change, and I did. The movie happened to be set in Memphis, where I am from. It really was like watching a home movie for me, down to the racial tensions that was a main focus of the plot. I won't tell too much of it so I won't spoil the movie, but I want to ask anyone who reads this a favor. Please pray that the message of this movie is taken to heart by the people of this city and this country. It would be the healing that we so desparately need. I highly reccomend this movie. It really lifts my spirits to see something good in the spotlight for a change. Peace and love to you all, no matter who you are or what color you are. I love you-Mark

I decided to do something differant for Sunday tomorrow. I am going to go to a black church tomorrow in Memphis, Tenn. I would like to support the message of this movie. Wish me well, a 46 year ole crazy white christian boy to go to south Memphis to support the message of racial harmony. I'll let you know tomorrow how it goes. My wife says I'm on my own.

    Hi Mark,

Ye though I walk………….I will fear no evil, for my LORD is with me.  :)

I don't compare a “black church” to the valley of death here.  I only point out that I'm sure God will be with you, as He is with the members of the church you choose to attend.

But…………..could you make it a non-trinitarian church – just to be SURE God is with you?  :)

Well, anouther religious safari for Mark. It was realllly differant. I have to say, the ushers were nice. I did get some strange looks, but they were outnumbered by the happy and sincere goodwill shown to me by others. The people around me shook my hand and the lady in front of me even gave me a hug. I did enjoy the service. It was very charismatic. Lots of yellin. The choir was fantastic. It was differant for me, and I like differant on occasion. I wish we could bridge the racial divide, but we are so differant culturally. Not that I don't like them, I am just differant, honestly. Quiet prayerful peaceful worship is much more comfortable to me. Common ground and dialog would be good. With God anything is possible. Peace-Mark
