So you disagree with Nick's Gospel?

    Hi GM,
To make such a suggestion is to see me as cursed.[gal1]
    Is that your intention?

Does that tar you with the same brush?

    Hi,
    There is one gospel.
It is the gospel of God
    Romans 1:1
Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

    Romans 15:16
That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

It is the gospel of Jesus Christ
    Mark 1:1
    The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

    2 Thessalonians 1:8
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

It is the same gospel in the mouths of God's servants

    Romans 2:16
In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

    Romans 16:25
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

    2 Thessalonians 2:14
Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    2 Timothy 2:8
Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:

    Or just called the gospel

    2 Timothy 1:10
But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

    GOOD NEWS

Scripture says two gospels: (1) The Gospel of the Kingdom of God (2) The Gospel of The Grace of God.

    Hi,
Grace came through Jesus Christ with the one gospel unto all men, taken first to Israel..

The gospel is the message and the outpouring of the empowerment by his Spirit of Grace was at the return of Jesus to his Father.

The instruments of the gospel of grace did not teach a new gospel but administered it.

    Acts 20:24
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

    Lk24
49And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

50And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

51And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

    Hebrews 10:29
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

    John 1:16
And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.

    John 1:17
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

    Acts 4:33
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

Nick, you do err… It was Paul who was commissioned to the “nations” (gentiles), Jesus to “the lost sheep of the house of Israel”.

The eternal gospel for all, is not scripural, it is the apostacy.

    Blessings.

    Hi ,
Where was the one gospel preached?
First to the jews then the greeks.
I am not ashamed of it.

    Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

What scripture says that there are two gospels????

The gospel is the way to salvation. There is only one way. There is only one gospel. This is really plain and simple. Why is this even a question?

    John 10:1
10:1 “I tell you the truth, the man who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way , is a thief and a robber.
    NIV

    John 10:7

7 Therefore Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep.
    NIV

    John 10:8-9
. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.
    NIV

    John 10:15-16
16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.
    NIV

The other sheep are the gentiles, but the way is the same. There is one flock and one shepherd. We are adopted Jews. We are grafted in.

    Rom 11:17

17 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root
    NIV

Only one root- only one source of life

    Hi,
For those who cannot accept the one gospel of God is for all we have nothing else to offer.

    Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

    2 Timothy 1:8
    Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

Perhaps there are others elsewhere who may be better able to tickle their ears?

    Hi Shania.
Jesus' message (Gospel) was to the “Jews” only, see Matt.15:24, their hope was the “kingdom”, an earthly destination. This was because they (Israel), were under the “law” and their “Old Covenant” with God. Their denial of “Jesus” before and after His ressurrection, and inability to fulfill the “law”, were “divorced” by God.(Acts13:46).
The Gospel Of “Grace”, preached by “Paul”, is for all. It is not based on any “Law”, or works of any kind, but on pure and simple “grace”. Our destination is “Celestial” (heavenly). (Eph.2:8).
Two different Gospels, (1) Gospel of the “Kingdom”. (2) Gospel of “Grace”.

    Blessings.

    Hi CO,

    2 Corinthians 11:7
Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?

    1 Thessalonians 2:2
But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.

    1 Thessalonians 2:8
So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.

    1 Thessalonians 2:9
For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.

    1 Timothy 1:11
According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

So was the gospel of Jesus not the gospel of God?

    What about Peter's?

    1 Peter 4:17
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

    Nonsense
Paul said the gospel was committed to him.
Jesus Christ and all God's servants preached God's one gospel.

    Acts 15:7
And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

Pauls gospel to the gentiles is of God. (the gospel of “grace”).

Two different gospels. The “one eternal gospel” has no biblical reference.

Not MY gospels, read “All is of God…” in the previous posts, it explains them quite well! You must have missed it.

    HiCO,
So should we ignore the gospel of Jesus Christ?
    2 Corinthians 11:4
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

All scripture is FOR us, but all scripture is NOT ABOUT US.
A very simple explanation, all scripture is FOR us, so we can see what God is doing in this world. But we must understand, that in that era, Gods' “chosen people” were the Jews, not about “the nations”.
See Eph.2:11-12… Wherefore, remember that once you, the nations in flesh — who are termed 'Uncircumcision' by those termed 'Circumcision,' in flesh, made by hands —
12 that you were, in that era, apart from Christ, being alienated from the citizenship of Israel, and guests of the promise covenants, having no expectation, and without God in the world.
Even you, Nick, being a champion of scripture, should be familiar with this scripture.

    Blessings.
