    Hi All,

Ephesians 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

By correctly defining the enmity that Jesus Christ was able to slay, I believe we can also identify the true image of Jesus Christ, who he indeed needed to be as he went to the cross to then be able to abolish the enmity by his death. We can also have a clearer understanding as to the New Man he became when he was resurrected from the dead.

I don’t have time right now to give scripture that I believe clearly identifies the enmity, but I wanted to start the topic and have other people provide their definition as to what this enmity is to which Jesus was able to abolish by dying on the cross.

In that very passage you quoted, the emnity is clearly stated.

“even the law of commandments contained in ordinances;”

The law, though holy, was given to hold the believers in check, so to speak, until grace by Jesus Christ was made available.

We now have the responsibility and privilege to live by grace, not the law of Moses.

Sonofgod …..yes,  by the way “law” works, no flesh shall be justified before God.  And again…..> “BY GRACE are you saved, and that not of yourself, it is a gift from GOD.

No where does it say we receive the Spirit by obeying the “law”, but just the opposite is said ……> “this only would I learn of you, Receive the Spirit by the Law, or by the hearing of Faith ?”

And again…..1 Ti 1:9…..> Knowing this that the LAW is not, made for a righteous man, but for the “Lawless”, and disobedient, for the “ungodly” and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers, and murderers of mothers, for man slayers, for whoremongers, for them which defile themselves with mankind, for man-stealers , for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is against sound doctrine;”

    Hi sonofGod and Gene,

Thanks for posting on this topic!

I believe there is a lot involved here and Paul speaks to it in great detail, especially throughout the book of Romans. That which Paul teaches I do find aligns with the sum of all scripture from the beginning of the OT to the end of the NT.

Defining the enmity is a good place to start.

Paul speaks about enmity and the law elsewhere.

Romans 8: 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.

John 1:32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.

Let’s take these truths and look again at what Paul said in Ephesians and also include scripture he provided beforehand in the same chapter.

Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and OF THE MIND; and were BY NATURE the children of wrath, even as others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)

15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

I believe that Paul is speaking to the same enmity in Ephesians to that of what he spoke of in Romans. He defines the enmity as the carnal mind where it is by our very nature we are children of wrath.

The prince, our commander, the spirit that works disobedience, is our own carnal minds wherein we fulfill the desires of the flesh and of that mind.  The Spirit must abode in us for even one letter of the law to be kept, why Jesus himself said that only God is good and that he can do nothing of himself.

Hebrews 4: 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Jesus overcame the commander! He was of weak mortal flesh able to be tempted just as we all are but with the Spirit aboding in him he was spiritually minded able to serve God without fail over the desires of his weak mortal flesh.

    Hi All,

The prince, our commander, the spirit that works disobedience, is our own carnal minds wherein we fulfill the desires of the flesh and of that mind.

Matthew 16:23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

Satan- phonetic Hebrew SAW-TAWN, means adversary.

Paul identifies the spirit that works disobedience, the prince of the power of the air, as our own carnal mind. Such is our adversary, SAW-TAWN to say it in Hebrew.

I am hoping that continuing the discussion of fallen angels and such on here will then lead us back to understanding the below passage.

Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

    Hi Danny and All,

So either you believe the clear given word and apply to all of scripture or you don’t.

YHVH ALONE DOES ALL THESE THINGS. He brings forth all manner of physical and mental diseases (AKA evil spirits), He raises up kings and makes them fall, He interjects in war and determines outcomes, He brings forth pestilence, hail, earthquakes, floods and famines.

Judges 9:23 Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech:

1 Samuel 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

Isaiah 19:14 The Lord has poured into them a spirit of confusion; and they have made Egypt stagger in all its doings as a drunkard staggers around in vomit.

Psalms 78:48 He gave up their cattle also to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts. 49 He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil (ra/bad) angels among them. 50 He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence; 51 And smote all the firstborn in Egypt; the chief of their strength in the tabernacles of Ham:

Psalm 91:11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Psalm 35:5 Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them.

Psalm 35:6 Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them.

Zech 1:8 I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white. 9 Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be. 10 And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.11 And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.

Chronicles16:8 Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand. 9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. 10 Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time. 11 And, behold, the acts of Asa, first and last, lo, they are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel. 12 And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.

Numbers 22:22 And God’s anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary/SATAN against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.

God’s faithful messengers bring forth cursing and evil/bad upon the earth at His command, where they are thus adversaries, saw-tawn/SATAN.

YHVH does “all these things” and every belief otherwise is false, the works of man’s own imagination creating beings who are fake.

Danny, I think it is you that needs to be careful. What exactly do you believe that fallen angels have the power to do? The Book of Enoch lists different fallen angels attributing what God says He ALONE does to be coming instead from them.

Its rather fascinating, Jews go whoring after the beliefs of false religions after God had said He would punish them for it and in turn they invent doctrines that say they are being inflicted by fallen angels instead of God’s faithful angels. What a bunch of self-righteous idiots!

    Hi Jodi,

Did you say that demons are mental disorders???

James 2:19 You believe that there is one God; you do well: the demons also believe, and tremble.

So either you believe the clear given word and apply to all of scripture or you don’t.

    Good Morning Danny,

James 2: 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

The word devils above is daimonion outside of James and the gospels this word is represented as part of false religions with fake idols, the work of man’s hands that cannot see, hear or walk. So it is not only that I believe they are represented as mental/physical disorders actually.

1 Corinthians 10: 19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing? 20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils (daimonion), and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils (daimonion). 21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils (daimonion): ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table and of the table of devils (daimonion). 22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? so when he rebukes something else keep these facts in mind.

1 Timothy 4: 1-3Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils (daimonion) speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

Revelation 9: 20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, (daimonion) and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: 21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

Doctrine of devils we see is the work of LIES within false religions.

Danny, to the Greeks according to their religious beliefs, daimons, daimonion and daimonizomai all equated to spirit beings with lesser power than their gods. These devils were believed to bring forth both blessing and cursing where they were both feared and worshipped.   They were believed to inflict or possess people making them dumb, or mute, or deaf, or mad, etc.

Psalms 106:35 But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. 36 And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them. 37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, 38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood. 39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.

Acts 17: 16 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry. 17 Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.

Recall Danny how the Jews accused Jesus of casting out demons by the prince of the demons Beezelbub, which was a Philistine god.

Exodus 4:11 “So the Lord said to him,” Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Have not I the Lord?”

Deut 30: 19 I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing,

Isaiah 45:6-7 “That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting that there is none besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other; I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I the Lord do all these things.

Deuteronomy gives us a long list of what all curses God Himself would bring, the likes of wars and famine to physical and mental diseases.

Deuteronomy 28: 28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart.

Deuteronomy 28: 22 The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.

Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

We are given that the LORD CAST AND EVIL SPIRIT upon Saul and David came and HEALED him through the LORD. Jesus is no different, God cast all different sorts of infirmities and Jesus came and healed them. According to Hosea God smites man but he also will heal when one returns to their faith in the LORD.

    God would smite with fever,

Luke 4:38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon’s house. And Simon’s wife’s mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her. 39 And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.

Mark 4: 39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

I want to point out not to let your imagination go down some mythological path Danny. Jesus spoke to the wind, he rebuked the wind and a fever and in Mark 9 he rebukes an unclean spirit said to be dumb (mute) and deaf. AND WHO are we directly told makes the deaf, the mute and the blind?  THE LORD.

Mark 9:24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb (mute) and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

This same story is told in Luke,

42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil (daimonion) threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

The devil (daimonion) and unclean spirit are used interchangeably and it is a condition to which Jesus HEALS people from, just like he healed the woman from her fever rebuking it also. Jesus is not rebuking and casting out wicked rebel spirits, he is rebuking and casting out unclean spirits literally defined as deaf and dumb (mute).

Matthew 9:33 And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

Matthew 12:22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

Matthew 15:30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

Luke 11:14 And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.

Danny, God casts evil/bad spirits, unclean spirits which causes people to be blind, or deaf or dumb/mutism and we read that Jesus HEALED them. The Greeks called them daimons, daimonion and daimonizomai but of course they were attributed to be of their own gods and their false idols which cannot walk, see or talk, as we are told in the OT they have no power to do any good or any evil.

Let’s look back at James 2 and the context,

James 2: 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

Devils equate to the deaf and dumb! Even the deaf and dumb believe and tremble, oh vain man.

The context is that it is not enough to say you believe and have faith in the One God, even the devils/deaf and dumb believe. He’s giving a jab, professing your faith alone is seriously lacking even the deaf and dumb can do that and then he calls out his vanity and goes on to teach him how “by works a man is justified and not by faith only”.

    Hi Danny,

James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

this aligns with what Paul teaches,

Romans 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

1 Corinthians 3:18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. 21 Therefore let no man glory in men.

Romans 16:18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.

Romans 3:13 “Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.” “The poison of vipers is on their lips.”

    Ephesians 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

    Colossians 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

Eph 2:3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.

This also aligns with Jesus’s teaching,

15 There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man….21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Man deceives himself as well as others according to his own carnal mind according to within the imagination of his own heart.

This has been God’s word since the beginning,

Genesis 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually…21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth.

Jeremiah also speaks to this repeatedly, here are some, not all of the examples,

17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.

24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

14 But have walked after the of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them:

8 Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart:

Notice how Paul referred to this mindset as “the old man”. Notice how God takes the wise in their OWN CRAFTINESS and how man practices deceit from within his own imagination, where the tongue is the poison of a SERPENT.

I could give ample more scripture from throughout the bible to further support this but the above I believe is quite sufficient to establish that there are no wicked spirits/demons/devils/ that seduce, tempt or possess mankind to then commit sin. We are given directly in a massive amount of scripture as to what exactly brings mankind into temptation and commit the sins of lies, deceit and all else.

One must relook at their interpretation of certain passages and bring into question their understanding as there are no contradictions in the bible.

Recall, the devil/diabolos/slanderer in Revelation 2 is a Roman Emperor who persecuted Christians putting them in jail and killing them. Peter is called Satan/satanas/adversary for having in mind the things of men. They both were of the mind of  “the old man” as Paul puts it.

    Hi Jodi,

You: Devils equate to the deaf and dumb! Even the deaf and dumb believe and tremble, oh vain man.

Me: Matthew 8:31-32 totally destroys what you said.
31 So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. 32 And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.

I hope you are humble enough to admit your error.

    God bless

    Hi Danny,

Thanks for your reply keeping the discussion going.

Maybe I have missed it, I am not aware to what your understanding is exactly regarding unclean spirits interchangeably in scripture called devils?

I am not at all in error and let me provide some clarification and further scriptural support along with common sense.

Mark 9:17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit…25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

As I said before this same story of this son is told in Luke 9 but Luke called the unclean spirit a daimonion which in both gospels such equates to a dumb and deaf spirit.

    Look at Luke 1,

Luke 1:19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

The angel of the Lord cast a dumb spirit onto Zacharias and then that dumb spirit was cast out where Zacharias then proceeded to give prophecy.

1 Samuel 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

Danny, it’s a biblical fact that God casts evil/bad spirits onto man and that His angels will cast a dumb spirit onto a man which people speaking Greek called it as having a daimon or daimonion.

Can you comprehend that scripture defines a devil directly as a dumb or deaf spirit and that no where in scripture are these devils defined as wicked rebel spirit beings?

Danny have you ever heard of the likes of encephalitis or schizophrenia?

Encephalitis -inflamation of the brain which could be caused by bacteria infection, viral infection amongst other things. Symptons include confustion, agitation, hallucinations, seizures, irregular movements, problems with speech and hearing.

Schizophrenia- hallucinations, delusions, extremely disordered thinking and behavior with aggression and impulsivity. People with this mental disorder are paranoid and conjure up all sorts of insane beliefs where they often act out in violent ways. An example of insane thinking, out of nowhere believe a complete innocent neighbor is out to get them and is going to poison them magically through the walls of their house. They believe that their tv or billboard signs are giving them secret codes with instructions to carry out certain deeds.

Both of these infirmities are what one would call madness throughout biblical times and the Greeks and other pagans believed they came from demons, spirits with power that were lessor than their gods.

Deut 28:28 The Lord will strike you with MADNESS and blindness and confusion of heart.

Danny think about what the pigs did when the unclean spirit entered them.

Mark 5:13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.

The swine ran violently off into a cliff where they drowned. What does that tell you Danny? Surely doesn’t at all substantiate these unclean spirits equated to some powerful intelligent wicked rebel spirit beings now does it? It exactly substantiates that these unclean spirits are an infirmity of madness.

The two people were inflicted with an unclean spirit which made them insane, fierce and paranoid, they are not at all really themselves they are the result of the infliction taking over their brain. The things they say to you and what they do, you know that is not really them but the infliction, the unclean spirit within them and that is who you are talking back to. This is exactly what Jesus was dealing with. Don’t forget that we read Jesus speaking to, the wind rebuking it, a fever rebuking it just as he does with these unclean spirits and that when he is casting them out we are directly told that he is HEALING them.

He that committeth sin is👉 of the devil; 👈 for  👉the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

    1 John 3:8

[9]Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
[10] In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of👉 the devil: 👈 whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

    John 8:43

Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
[44] Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.

👉When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.👈

Danny you quoted……….>.

Danny……when a humans speak lies, it does come from themselves and that person is a liar and the father of it.

Danny have you every through that this is referring to the first human ever born of the flesh,  Cain, who murdered his brother Able, and then lied to God about not knowing where his brother was?.  Cain was the first “born” human being, and he was indeed a “liar and a murder”.

Danny,  Jodi may be more right about this subject then, most here realize.

peace and love to you and yours Danny………gene

    Good Morning Gene,

Excellent point that it was Cain who was a murder and a liar from the beginning. Looks like this post was from Berean actually, though Danny would have likely brought up these passages as well.

I find it fascinating that Berean highlighted “when he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it,”.

he speaketh of his own” is exactly what we are given in numerous scripture throughout the bible, sin comes from within, out of man’s own heart, out of man’s own desires, out of man’s own imagination. Murder and lies are of man’s own devices.

Jodi…..exactly right, the devils are human beings following their own lust working in them.  John said…….>“For “all” that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life, are from the world, and the world is passing away and the lust with it.”

peace and love to you and yours………gene
