Quote (Lightenup @ Mar. 10 2013,06:13) terarricca,
It is the Second Power of YHVH, the Word of YHVH, Himself, that appears to Abraham, not the First Power of YHVH.
KathiGod his not a men ,God does not share his power with no one,he gives authority to some for the purpose of his will ,big difference ,
No,one that receives authority from God ,goes beyon what is given to them ,and stay strictly within Gods rules,
So,I say No,to your strange wording.
March 10, 2013 at 5:50 am#337908LightenupParticipantterarricca,
All authority/power was given to Jesus, by the Father.

KathiIt seems you do not understand what I say, even so Christ does not work outside his father will ,it is to fulfill God will that he received that authority and power ,not to do what he wants

The Son is the LORD's own ARM!
Isaiah 63:5
I looked, but there was no one to help, I was appalled that no one gave support; so my own arm worked salvation for me, and my own wrath sustained me.Psalm 44:3 It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them.Psalm
Isaiah 40:10 See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.Isaiah 41:28 I look but there is no one–no one among them to give counsel, no one to give answer when I ask them.
Isaiah 51:5 My righteousness draws near speedily, my salvation is on the way, and my arm will bring justice to the nations. The islands will look to me and wait in hope for my arm.
Isaiah 52:10 The LORD will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.
Isaiah 59:16 He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm worked salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him.

I would say that “God's Wings” 'represent' the Son/Holy Spirit.
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”
“How often I wanted to gather your children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were unwilling!”
… And other verses.
… And at Jesus' baptism, the Spirit descended on Him like a Dove.
Just my ten cents.

Kathi
God his a spirit ;scriptures says;
that is said in a metaphor way ,God his not a man to have arms like us ,but he certainly has extending people that would gladly serve him as an arm ;like his son the WORD ALSO CALLED Jesus Christ
why is it called IN A PERSONAL WAY LIKE MY ARM OR
MY ARM WILL BRING JUSTICE, OR HIS ARM RULESTHIS HIS TOTALLY UNDERSTANDABLE WHEN IT IS HIS OWN SON THE VERY FIRST CREATION HE PERSONALTY ATTEND TO AND CREATE ALL OTHER THINGS THROUGH HIM ,YES IT IS VERY PERSONAL

The LORD always had His own 'ARM/strength.'The LORD did not create His own 'ARM/strength.'
The Root that became the Shoot is the LORD's own ARM/strength.
terarricca, I know that God is not speaking of an arm like one of our arms. However, He is speaking of the Root that becomes the Shoot as being the LORD's own ARM as in 'strength.'
No creation there. The LORD always had His OWN strength (the Son).

strength = power not ARM

Lightenup. Those were good scriptures you quoted.
Gods arm can not opperate without Gods concent.
Gods word can not come out of his mouth, unless God wanted it.
Jesus can not do anything without God, his father and his God.God brought forth his word and gave him a form, and both had glory together.God commanded, and his word did the job. All was created by God, through his word.
Gods word was made flesh and dwelleth amongst us.
Now he is the son of God and also the son of man;for he was made flesh, and named Jesus. This Jesus was glorified and now sitting next to his father in heaven. He will come again to gether his elect, and to set up his kingdom on earth. His elect will rule over the jews and teach them that have been brought back by choice.(the remnant).
The jews will live in paradise for a 1000yrs,where the lion will eat straw. Then only then, will knowledge cover the earth as the sea cover the earth.
Many gentiles out side the kingdom will also come in to learn, but not live inside.
The jews will also go out to teach the world. Then satan will be let loose, to gather the non believers, for the battle of gog and magog.
All will be destroyed by God himself. Then the second resurrection,of all the dead of the past present and future of all kinds. They will be judged by the books, the sheep on the right and the goats on the left.
The sheep will be accepted, and the goats cast in the fire with satan. Then the earth will be melted and the heavens also,to create a new heaven and earth. Then God himself will come down to earth, and dwell with us.
Amen.wakeup.

KathiShow me in scriptures any verse that relates the word STRENGTH directly to God and not related to men ,???
And then see that God as no strength BUT power ,strength his for men because men do not have always strength ,but God as always POWER,
There his not one day that God is weak, always powerful,

It talks about given strength to whoever God is with ,it does not say that God as strength but give strength and power to whom his on his side,or who as God as a protector ,
