Do you understand that all men are dead in the eyes of God,only the man that fears God is important to God, but Satan ,scenario ,is to corrupt all those that fear God,by make them go against God ,this as been his purpose right in Eden,this is going on even today,

If you understand how Satan argue with God why those that fear God serve him and worship him, then he also shows that when you remove all the blessings God as given ,Satan thinks that they would curse God,or when you make them sick so that it would bring them to the poin of falling in disgrace toward God,

At the end God restores all and more,

Does this not sound like the gospel preached by Christ and his apostles Yes,

I don't deny God's ultimate and absolute power over EVERYTHING in existence.  And I don't deny His ability to preserve His written word.  Perhaps that is the reason we're slowly uncovering older and better mss all the time – because God has preserved His word for us as it was – before the centuries of scribes and their alterations got to it.

What I deny is that the KJV is the one and only version of God's written word that He preserved unblemished.

If Ahab was worshipping the pagan gods of the nations, which were Satan and his hordes, then why would this “evil spirit” want to HURT his own comrades by helping out Jehovah's nation?  Why would he offer to go AGAINST Satan – knowing that a house divided cannot stand?

Listen Kerwin, for some reason, certain people here think that using deception is “evil”, and only “evil beings” can do such a thing.

But I've already pointed out for you that GOD HIMSELF suggested that His faithful servant Joshua use deception to conquer Ai.  And David used deception to keep himself alive – slobbering on himself and pretending to be insane.  Is David called “evil David” in the scriptures? Or will our Lord Jesus Christ rule from his throne?

How about Moses, who MURDERED to save a member of God's chosen nation?  Was he called “evil Moses” in scripture?  Or “Moses, the man of God”?

If a HUMAN can use deception, and even murder, and still be a man of God, then why would any of you think faithful angelic servants of God can't also kill and use deception?

I am confident in my own understanding that this was a faithful angelic servant of God who came up with a good idea, and God accepted that idea and commanded His servant to go forward with that idea.

I don't really care if you agree or not.

So take your time with these responses.  I'm in no hurry.  And don't forget that I'm NOT saying the KJV is “bad” or anything.  I just don't believe it is “flawless”.  I believe the KJV interpretation is spot on in many cases, but that other versions have the “spot on translation” in many other cases.

Remember, no one here has ever claimed the NIV is flawless.  No one has ever claimed the NET is perfect.  No one has made those claims about ANY translation – except for a few people here who claim those things about the KJV.

I think it would be ludicrous for me to claim the NWT is “perfect” and “flawless”.  

But as you can see, many of us here also think the same thing about people who make those claims about the KJV.  It is simply one English translation out of hundreds.  It isn't “magic” or “inspired”.  It is simply one English translation.  No more and no less.

1 Kings 22:16
King James Version (KJV)

16 And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the Lord?

Micaiah was rebuked by king for his action of saying that which was not true.
