    TO ALL,

Proclaimer locked our debate and declared that I lost because I did not reply in his timing. That’s fine. But please note that I posted on July 28 2010 and it took t8 til February 22 to reply which was a SEVEN MONTH INTERVAL.

Yet when I take my time t8 declares victory. This is just another example of the double standard but I don’t care. t8 cannot morally declare victory after he took seven months to reply.

I have had enough of formal debates anyway. I just want to post freely without any obligations.

There are two points that need to be mentioned.

    1) That it is OK to take your time if you say so. Just a short note to say that you wish the debate to continue and that you are busy now, is good enough.
    2) That I can reopen the debate and if the outcome is different, then I will edit the Debate Log to reflect that.

As is plain to see, the system worked in that you responded. So I am happy about that. It is now up to you if you wish the debate to be reopened as you have not officially declared the debate over.

Let me know either way please and I will act accordingly. If I don't hear back, I will keep it as it is.

My opinion as to why you said this is because you are not winning any or most of the debates. I bet if you were winning your debates that you would never have said this.

It looks to me like this is your way of handling defeat.

Also, what I read in your sentence is that you wish to post freely and ignore questions or posts that infringe on your doctrine or prove you wrong.

It is this exact thing that we are trying to curb.

It is considered responsible to back up and answer questions that apply to your teaching. If you are not willing to be responsible for what you teach, then you shouldn't teach.

We are just upping the quality of teaching here by making people responsible for what they teach. If you don't like it, then what does that say about you?
After all, we are not asking for much. We are only asking for that which we should be doing if we are to be responsible teachers of scripture.

    t8,

Please reopen the debate. Sorry I did not communicate but neither did you in that seven month interval you took. I posted on July 28, 2010 and the next word from you was not until February 22, 2011. So I just assumed that we were posting post at our leisure.

I don't understand why people are so uptight about this kind of thing.

People are uptight because too many times people ignore good questions and arguments that prove people wrong.
We are just trying to get people to be responsible for their teachings.

Also, we are now getting tougher with making people responsible for what they teach. Back then, it was more relaxed, but that led to abuse which BTW, I do not consider myself to have done. I have always been willing to answer questions thrown at me regarding my teachings.

Also, I think I let Isiah know that I was going to be delayed in my replies, but that he was not happy with that.
I had a few emergencies at that time and ended up in hospital a few times not to mention trying to balance my family and job commitments while that was going on. He just refused to accept that sometimes life comes before Heaven Net. I think in the end, he accepted that I was going to be delayed in replying to him.

Oh yeah, I should say that I have reopened the debate.

Thanks for letting me know your intentions.

From memory I got antsy about this because we agreed to some clear terms and conditions around the time allowance for post submissions before the debate – which you promptly contravened. Anyways….

For good reason Is 1:18. I tried to tell you many times that things cropped up that I had to take care of that was more important than even HN , but you and WJ refused to listen and were unreasonable in your judgement and reaction. In fact your behaviour was not in line with the fruit of the Spirit.
But I suspect that you guys resorted to your bad behaviour because you couldn't refute my argument. A sort of last ditch effort you sometimes see when someone is losing. Happens in sport, politics, and other arenas of competition, where trying to fling dirt on people is a strategy for winning, rather than winning by merit.
I understood that at the time. You guys reacted the way you did, because you were unreasonable and stumped at the same time.
Actually WJ apologised for the way he acted toward me at that time, what about you?

Welcome back BTW. I hope I made you feel at home.

KJ complained recently that I took 7 months and at the same time has no intention of continuing a debate that we had.
At least he has finally agreed to bow out officially after nearly 7 months.
I see the funny side to this irony.

Anyhow, he was stumped in that debate and didn't have the decency to admit it. :(
