Hi Gene,

You have gone beyond revelation in your apparent understanding of Eccl 9.5,

to say it that it is like being under an anaesthetic to die.

    Stay within the truth.

    Hi Gene,

Great explanation of what I meant, thank you, as you spoke exactly correct to what I meant.

My post was lengthy so if t8 skimmed it he would have missed parts, like when I said, “you no longer exist in TIME, you have NO CLUE how much time is passing by while you are dead.”

    Hi Nick,

    You: Ecc 9.5

For the living know that they will die; but the dead do not know anything,

Context tells us that it is impossible to understand completely the ways of God but this does not mean that the dead are generally unaware of all things.

Rather that they cannot KNOW their future in the way men do.

Sheol and Hades have been revealed.

    Me: .

1 For all this I considered in my heart even to declare all this, that the righteous, and the wise, and their works, are in the hand of God: no man knoweth either love or hatred by all that is before them. 2 All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath. 3 This is an evil among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead. 4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. 5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is NOW PERISHED; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

The context of the passage above is that ALL MEN die regardless, and receive the same fate, which is DEATH. All things done under the sun a bad thing comes to ALL, one bad event happens unto all which is DEATH. There is not anymore reward to those counted good verses evil as far as the first DEATH is concerned. This verse is specifically telling us that no matter what kind of man you are and the works that you did under the sun we all reach the same fate which is death. ALL GO to the SAME place DEATH, not the clean go to one place and the unclean go to another place when they die and their body only decays. All human souls go to the same place which is death where the DEAD know nothing.

Multitudes of scripture speak of this same truth, humans were formed from the dust and humans return to the dust, humans are just one kind of soul that God had made, they are given LIFE and that life is taken resulting in death. In death our thoughts likewise perish, we no longer have the capacity to THINK when we are dead Nick. That is because we think from the power of our brain that God designed in the unique living creature known as a human, a particular kind of soul that God had created from the earth. Let’s not be ignorant Nick, God created a variety of souls and each has a distinct amount of brain power and functions differently comparatively. Our brain was given the power to learn from God, know God, and become righteous through God. If the body dies, the mind is likewise dead hence why we are precisely told that our thoughts perish and that humans were formed from the dust and returns to the dust.

    Hi Gene,

    Test the spirits.

By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God.

Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son.

Nick denies that Jesus who was born in Bethlehem was the Christ, even though a heavenly messenger confirmed it saying he is the Christ and the Lord.

Nick believes he was just a man like him, not the Christ. He believes that he became the Christ later at the baptism. So he denies Jesus Christ came in the flesh. He came in the flesh when he was born.

    Hi Nick,

    You:

    Hi Jodi,

    Salvation is a gift.

    Repentance is given.

The Spirit is given to the obedient.

Men are born helplessly entrapped inheriting death.

The rest is of your intellect .Understanding and knowledge can just be vanity.

Me: Salvation exists through God’s anointing Spirit that He gives, so yes it is a gift, one that He predestined certain people to receive first. We are even told that those predestined to be called first God used the blind as an example to draw them in so one could not boast and see the difference between God and man, which is that only God is good, wisdom comes from God, and man can do nothing of himself. God can bring light to any darkness that His own creation dwells in, as it dwells in darkness because of ignorance, and God is wisdom and wisdom is a tree to life of which man was created to receive. Life is a light.

Repentance is the workings of God’s Spirit in man to where the relationship between an individual and God is formed. It is a journey, sometimes it is a hard road, but each journey God leads man on is a journey that leads to glory. Fire refines the gold, and our God is a consuming fire. God is the potter and He made every man out of clay and thus every man can be formed into that which God wills, each in their own order according to God’s purpose.

The Spirit gives wisdom of which causes man to become obedient, as man is a dog that would return to his own vomit if it were not for God’s gift of wisdom. The gift of wisdom is according to a measure or measures, not all measures bring forth obedience, some wisdom at certain times is only given in order to fulfill God’s will, which of course that will is to eventually bring all men into repentance and obedience.

Men were created of the dust of the earth with God’s desire to make us into His own image, an image of righteous and eternal life. Jesus became the first Son of God, the firstborn of many brethren, as when he rose from the dead he was not just righteous but he was not able to die anymore. He became the image of God in man as he fulfilled God’s words where God had said that He created humans in His image. Men are born helpless, but God’s plan is to fill each man with wisdom and lead him to righteousness according to His timing and His will.

Vanity means to be empty, and without God’s Spirit we are just empty ignorant souls, blind to the knowledge of Him and His ways. We are left to our own devices according to basic carnal functioning of our designed initial soul. We were made from the dust of the earth, but we are given the brain function and power to obtain God’s Spirit and wisdom, without that capacity we might as well be a toad, without that wisdom we might as well be a dog.

    Hi T8,

    Acts 2.22

Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders

and signs which God performed through him in your midst…

    2.36

Therefore Let the house of Israel know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ,

    this Jesus whom you crucified.

    A man, the Nazarene.

You need to grasp the prophetic word and then you could teach.

    Hi All

According as he [God]has chosen us in him[Christ] before the foundation of the world”(Ephesians 1:4). Paul found out through revelations from God and Christ that our being “in Christ” was made legal in the eyes of the Father even before the physical cosmos came into existence. We were at that early time given the legal status of being reckoned as the very children of God Himself

“Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.”Ephesians 1:5

each of us already saved in Christ long before Adam was created.

“Who has saved us and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ before the world began [before eonian times].”2 Timothy 1:9 We were considered “in Christ” even at that distant time in the past.

In whom [in Christ]also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ.”Colossians 2:1

So, when Christ was circumcised as a baby of eight days, you and I — male or female makes no difference for this is a religious and legal principle. were also reckoned as being circumcised in the eyes of the Father at the same time.

His baptism by John the Baptist. And what happened then according to Paul? That is when we were “buried with him in baptism” (Colossians 2:12). The truth is, Paul was telling the Colossians (and all of us) that when John the Baptist was baptizing Christ for sins, it was not Christ’s sins that were being washed away, because He had none personally. It was our sins being washed away which were then being carried by Christ. Since we were then“in Christ,” we were accounted by the Father as being personally baptized when John baptized Christ.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me.”Galatians 2:20

This means that when Christ died by crucifixion, the Father also imputed Christ’s death to all of us. We died with Him since God then made us to be “in Christ.” When Christ died, all of us legally died with him (2 Corinthians 5:14) as a substitute for each of us individually in the world.

When Christ was risen from the dead three days later, we were, in a legal sense, also risen from the dead with Him! As Paul taught, ok

“If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God.”Colossians 3:1

When the Father looks over on His right side and sees Christ sitting beside Him as His own firstborn of all creation, the Father sees each of us (in a very personal way) legally sitting there with Him.

    God bless

    Good Morning All,

    Life and Death

Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

Revelations 2:10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.

Romans 2:7 To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

Romans 4:but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. 17 As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that WERE NOT. 18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” 19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. 20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. 22 This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” 23 The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, 24 but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. 25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

God will give LIFE to the DEAD, the DEAD ARE NOT (they d0 not exist) but God gives life calling them into being. Abraham’s loins and Sarah’s womb were DEAD, in their age they could not bring forth the ability to bring life into the world. Abraham had faith in God’s promise, that God had the power to bring LIFE back to his loins and her womb so that they could bring in the life of a child. God had the power and we believe in God that He raised Jesus from being dead, from being NOT, into” being”, raised to life.

Matthew 16:25 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.

Life is something you lose and it is found again when God raises you back to life. So many scriptures would be written entirely different if death wasn’t actually death, and life didn’t actually mean life. You either have life or you have death, to say that death is to still have life to your soul, is to speak exactly like the serpent in the garden of Eden. Your soul represents your life, you as a living creature. Each living creature (soul) has their own life, and God takes it away and can give it back according to His will.

Matthew 16:26What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

Soul here represents a person’s LIFE. You lose your soul, you lose your life.

Matthew 16:27 For the Son of Man is going to come in his Father’s glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what they have done.

Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Psalms 104:29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.

Daniel 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Psalms 146:4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

To say that when a person dies they are not truly dead just their body is dead, and they with their thoughts consciously go either to a place of reward or punishment is to speak directly against the word of God. Christ judges the DEAD when he returns to earth and it is then that the faithful come to have LIFE again and receive their reward. Where were these faithfult? Are we ever told anywhere that they waited in a conscious state having thoughts and no body? NO! We are told that the dead are in fact dead, they ARE NOT, they don’t exist, they are of the dust.

Matthew 16:28“Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.

1 Corinthians 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

Just as Jesus said Paul confirms, that some would see him having been raised to life from being dead before they themselves would die, also referred to as fallen asleep by Paul. When you are asleep according to Daniel that means you are in the dust of the earth, not that you are consciously resting somewhere.

    Hi Nick,

You: So man has the natural ability to gain the Spirit of God?

ME: Man can do nothing of himself, he cannot gain the Spirit of God through himself, it is given by God. Humans were specifically designed to obtain it while other souls that God had made on earth were not.

God created man for the purpose of becoming like Him, to be righteous without sin and live for an eternity. Other souls that God created on earth like the dog or the lion God did not make for such. God made the clay and He is the potter. God refines man, He does not refine a dog. The natural man knows not God he is ignorant like a serpent, but God made him separate from other creatures on earth who REMAIN ignorant as they were not created with the mental capacity to learn, think, and reason as humans were made. Humans were designed, made to obtain God’s Wisdom, able to know of and believe in God, and God gives that wisdom as He pleases according to His will. The natural man without the work of God’s Spirit in him, is nothing more than a brute beast, a dog that will return to his own vomit. Unlike animals because humans were given an imagination, humans are able to devise sin, they hypothesize what the truth is through observing the world, they naturally trust in themselves above all else, they think they are being wise, but without God giving them wisdom they are fools. Without God’s Spirit working in humans, humans would have no self control, no love, no patience, no kindness, no understanding, no charity, as only God is good. His Spirit working in us separates us from the animals, without God we would act purely carnal only serving ourselves.

T8……Jesus was not born the christ, he, after his anointing at the JORDAN became the anointed one of God. You quoted John who said if you don’t believe JESUS CAME IN THE “FLESH” , meanning , that you must believe Jesus was a flesh born being (exactly as we are), so understanding that you should know that he had to “become” a anointed flesh being, to become the MESSIAH of God. Just as we all have to be anointed by GOD also, in order to become spritual son of GOD, The same thing had to happen with the flesh man Jesus. He did nothing as an anointed human until after his anointing at the Jordan river by John the baptist. You can produce “no proof” of his anointing untill “AFTER” the baptizm at JORDAN , IT WAS THEN THE WORDS FROM GOD SPOKE , “THIS IS MY SON HERE YOU HIM”.

Tell us T8, would it make any sense for Jesus to be anointed twice?, at berth and then 30 years later? When he became lead by that spirit.

T8……NICK IS RIGHT in this and You are wrong brother. IMO

Peace and love to you and yours. ………gene

    Hi Jodi,

Yes we see the fruit of satan’s work in natural man and he needs to come out of the domain

of darkness and into the wonderful light of the kingdom of God. But most prefer darkness.

Yes man was designed to be a instead a vessel for the Spirit of God but God does not

force His will on anyone but still draws the meek and God fearing to Himself.

Reason is the door to faith for all men but most prefer their instinctual lusts.

    Jude 10

But these men revile the things they do not understand; and the things they know by instinct,

like unreasoning animals, by these things they are destroyed.

    2Peter 2.12

But these, like unreasoning animals, born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed,

reviling where they have no knowledge, will in the destruction of those creatures also be killed.

    Hi Jodi,

The perfection of men is not the prime agenda of our gracious God.

It is the natural result of rebirth from above by His Spirit and letting the Spirit lead.

Just as the natural result of failure to repent and obey the command to be reborn is death and destruction.

The whole world is under the power of the evil one and his fruit is evil.

    Jn 8.34

Truly, truly I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.

    Rom 6.12

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you would obey it’s lusts.

    Rom 7.17

So now no longer am I the one doing it but sin which indwells me.

For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is in my flesh,

Jesus condemned SIN IN THE FLESH and if we follow him he promises us freedom from it’s power.

    Hi Jodi,

Those who are reborn of the Living Spirit are alive in the sight of God, even if you cannot yet see this.

The Spirit is given while we yet live and abides in us to raise us.

Your ideas are just your own ideas.

Nick…..But we all fail sometimes, “he that saith he has not sinned is a liar, and the truth of God is not in him”. “But if we sin we have and advocate with the Father, Jesus christ the rightious, he is the propituaion for our sin, and not our only but the sins of the Whole world.” And again, “If we confess our sins , he is just to forgive us, and to “cleans” us from all sin. “For it is God that works “In” us both to “will” and do of His good pleasure”.

So even if we have the Spirit of God in us we still at times may sin, but we no longer practice sin , for God has given us a heart of repentence from sin. He has written his commandments in our hearts, by giving us a “soft heart” and written his law in our inward parts, so we can no longer “practice” sinning. IMO

Peace and love to you and yours. …….gene
