I don't see them as vessels in Rev 3:1 and 5:6. Jesus is the vessel for those seven spirits of God because he seems to possess them. They are also the eyes of the Lamb. Your interpretation of the angelic spirits is some thing to do with the spirits carying messages and instructions from God but not the seven Spirits of God mentioned in Is 11:1-3…IMO
July 22, 2008 at 9:33 am#98602NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
The seven spirits are lamps according to scripture.[Rev4]Lamps are only instruments that oil use to produce light
They are not that oil and are useless without it
but they burn that oil.July 22, 2008 at 10:21 am#98607gollamudiParticipantPlease see these verses in Revelation;
1:20
This is the secret meaning of the seven stars you saw in my right hand, and of the seven gold lampstands: the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches
3:1
“To the angel of the church in Sardis, write this: ” 'The one who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars says this: “I know your works, that you have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. You can see that the seven angels are the seven stars but not the seven spirits.

Yes they are thus probably not the angels of the churches but they could still be angels.
Perhaps the ones called in scripture
'the angel of the Lord'?Genesis 24:7
The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father's house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.Genesis 24:40
And he said unto me, The LORD, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father's house:Exodus 3:2
And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.July 23, 2008 at 2:21 am#98670GeneBalthropParticipantTo All……the seven seven spirits are the seven intellects of God. Hi brother Nick,
Do you think the seven spirits are the Angel of the Lord? I have not seen that any where in the scriptures.July 23, 2008 at 9:49 am#98733NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
So why not address the verses I followed through.July 23, 2008 at 11:03 am#98740gollamudiParticipantYes, the verses you quoted talk about the Theopahnies of the invisible God in the form of angels who appeared to men. They are not related to Seven Spirits of God. Please see the verses Is 11:1-3 again you can not just imagine them as any angels.
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the root of Jesse, and a flower shall rise up out of his root.
2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him: the spirit of wisdom, and of understanding, the spirit of counsel, and of fortitude, the spirit of knowledge, and of godliness.
3 And he shall be filled with the spirit of the fear of the Lord, He shall not judge according to the sight of the eyes, nor reprove according to the hearing of the ears. They are different natures of the Spirit of God..IMO
July 23, 2008 at 5:40 pm#98753GeneBalthropParticipantAdam……..You are right in this if we see Spirit as intellects it all fits, The seven Spirits are the seven intellect of God. That go out into all the earth, These represent the eyes of God, and Jesus Has them in Him. And so will we when we grow to the (full) measure of Christ. He who has Christ has God and he who has God will have His spirits. Because the Father indwells them who has His Spirit in them.
peace to you Adam………gene

Is 11
2And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;3And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
That adds up to 6.
The Spirit of God is one.February 21, 2012 at 3:40 am#279761NickHassanParticipanttopical
February 21, 2012 at 11:08 pm#279896GeneBalthropParticipantTo All…………There is indeed SEVEN SPIRITS (INTELLECTS) of ONE GOD. These seven form the sum-total of the (intelligent gathering intellects of GOD) they also give intellect at varying degrees to all of God's creation that is why it says they go “to and Fro through out the whole earth” They are (IN) God's creation itself and input various Intellects to all his creatures he has made.
