Thx Golla! I treasure these rarities.
July 21, 2008 at 4:04 am#98454IreneParticipantThe question was, what are the seven spirits of God?
As Nick already pointed out, seven is God's number of perfection, what this is simply stating is;
God's Spirit is perfect and Holy. God is one and he has one perfect Holy Spirit, mind.
As Paul was saying in,Phil. 2:5 “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”

July 21, 2008 at 4:07 am#98455GeneBalthropParticipantNick….words are about thinking also. they are derived from intellect. Words are expressions of intellects. Surely you know that don't you. That the problem when you read and can't put things together.
I think your just have a continuous spirit in you. IMO
July 21, 2008 at 4:13 am#98457GeneBalthropParticipantIrene….i think what Hanoch and Adam brought out are a pretty good explanation of them. It would be interesting to understand it all better. I believe Spirit are intellectual powers and the word Elohim according to the Mechanical translation of Hebrew means (POWERS) a plural form meaning more then one. interesting subject.
love and peace to you and yours……..gene
July 21, 2008 at 4:14 am#98458NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
Really?
Jesus put it differently. The heart is the source not the mind.
Matthew 12:34
” You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak what is good? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart.Matthew 15:18
“But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man.Luke 6:45
” The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.July 21, 2008 at 4:46 am#98461GeneBalthropParticipantNick…….what does the mouth speak is it not words which are from the intellect and proceed out from the heart of a man. Come on this is no difficult to understand. Word are expressed intellect. if you wrote a book you would use words to do what, express you thoughts which come from you intellect, Just as you are doing here. You expressing you intellect here, Intellect is what you have in your mind and heart and are expressed through words. YOU have seceded in diverting another thread, we were talking about the seven spirits of God. If you want to talk about the word (WORD) we need to do that on another thread

First a little trinitarian dogma:
In a lightbulb, you have at least 3 distinct parts:Electricity: a running current.
The physical medium: the filament and the glass and metal.
The result: light.
-LOLAnyhow, the two cents I wanted to add was:
SPIRIT IS LIFE; however, the “living soul” Gen 2:7 is the soul that is concurrent (as opposed to the men described in 2 Tim 2:25) to that breath of life Gen 2:7; Rom 12:2. God is so precious!
– Love ya' bro!July 21, 2008 at 4:52 am#98464NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
Why the fascination with vain intellect?
God is far more interested in the heart.July 21, 2008 at 4:57 am#98465NickHassanParticipantHi GB,
When shown what is written, the very words of Jesus Christ himself,
you immediately ignore them and offer instead useless human logic. Why do you prefer your own logic to the words given us by God?
July 21, 2008 at 6:58 am#98472gollamudiParticipantHi brother Nick,
You are forgetting that God is person of intellect and logic , He is not uneducated and unlearnt. Even His ignorance is more than any man's so called wisdom.
I hope you agree with this. Please let us leave this intellect business and come to the subject “seven spirits of God”
Thanks
AdamJuly 21, 2008 at 10:23 am#98479NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
I agree. Those who bring up this foolish intellect nonsense should put it aside and read scripture.July 21, 2008 at 10:38 am#98485gollamudiParticipantAmen it applies to everybody.

Amen brother. We must be about our Father's business.July 22, 2008 at 2:02 am#98544HanochParticipantTruly, we only need to make sure to remember; I did not mean to condemn anyone by posting it, only bring people to Jesus, the One they love, and the One who loves them.
July 22, 2008 at 3:52 am#98553NickHassanParticipantHi,
I think a clue is in Rev 4
Revelation 4:5
And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.We should follow this trail
Zechariah 4:2
And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:Exodus 35:14
The candlestick also for the light, and his furniture, and his lamps, with the oil for the light,Exodus 37:23
And he made his seven lamps, and his snuffers, and his snuffdishes, of pure gold.Exodus 39:37
The pure candlestick, with the lamps thereof, even with the lamps to be set in order, and all the vessels thereof, and the oil for light,Exodus 40:4
And thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it; and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.Exodus 40:25
And he lighted the lamps before the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.Leviticus 24:2
Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.Leviticus 24:4
He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the LORD continually.Numbers 4:9
And they shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his snuffdishes, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister unto it:Numbers 8:2
Speak unto Aaron and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light over against the candlestick.Numbers 8:3
And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof over against the candlestick, as the LORD commanded Moses.July 22, 2008 at 6:41 am#98587gollamudiParticipantPlease explain what you understood on those verses you just quoted brother Nick. Mere quoting of verses can not be inferred what you believe.
Sorry to bother you.
AdamJuly 22, 2008 at 6:54 am#98590NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
I have not really studied them yet.
Any ideas?July 22, 2008 at 7:18 am#98593gollamudiParticipantThanks for that, I think you may study and discuss for us.
July 22, 2008 at 7:37 am#98595NickHassanParticipantHi GM,
So let me see.
Heb 8
4For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law:5Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
The earthly pattern of the temple images the heavenly?
A lamp is a vehicle for the burning of oil which is channelled to it.Oil symbolises the Spirit of God.
So the lamps themselves are not the Spirit of God.So the seven spirits are vessels for the ONE Spirit.
Thus to me they are more likely to be angelic spirit servants. - AuthorPosts
