Paul tells us in 2 Ths 2 about lie that would be taught in the church and this lie was the work of Satan. How many here understand that that lie was about JESUS HIMSELF, being turned into a God, a false “image” of JESUS. This lie turns The image of Jesus into a “man” of SIN. How? By making him out to be a GOD, WHICH BREAKES THE FIRST COMMANDMENT OF GOD. The man of SIN spoken of in, 2Ths2, is not a REAL PERSON, IT IS A FALSE IMAGE Satan created that changes our perception of Jesus who was and is a man, into a God.
I believe the apostle Paul was not aware of who he was describing, and like JOHN in revelations was prophesing about a thing he did not fully understand, That is why he said that the man of sin would be reaveald in its time. Even though this iniquity of (trying to make another God) was already starting to influence some of the church members, it hadn’t come to fullition and wouldn’t for another 300 years .

No, Gene, you are speculating that the man of sin is not a real person, and you will be deceived when he shows up as the scriptures state.

MartyMarty…….he has already shown up, in the false “image” of JESUS WHO IS THE ONLY HUMAN BEING who has ever took his sit in the temple of God, just as it shows. Is he not the only human being that is being worshiped and proclaimed as a God? Was not that “iniquity” already forming at the time of the apostles? Marty take each part of what is said about the man of sin, and think about it it fits JESUS, BUT REMEMBER I AM NOT SAYING IT IS THE “REAL” JESUS we have come to know,but a FALSE “IMAGE” OF HIM CREATED BY SATAN HIMSELF. Notice where it say he would come into existence, “after the workings of Satan”, yes Satan wants to “SEPERATE” Jesus’ idenity from ours, because it will causes people to think they can’t atain to his full stature JESUS CHRIST.
Marty it is a very cleaverly planed teaching that causes JESUS himself to be a man of sin, how? Because it portays him as a man who is a God,which breakes the first and greatest commandment of God. “YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER GOD BESIDES ME”.
This “LIE” will be the first thing Jesus will himself abolish at his return , how, just as it says “by the breath of his mouth” another words by his own mouth. So that also means this “LIE” will continue to exist till Jesus returns.
Think about it brother, i know you can get this MARTY.

You say there is only “one” spirit but my scriptures say there are many,then you come back and say that is saying there are “aspects” of spirits, i say they are types and kinds of destinct intellects. What “exactly” do you mean by “ascpects” of spirits?
None the less you are atempting to through this topic of, by deverting this descusion, exactly what Satan would like his childern to do, he does not want his LIE brought out. 2 Ths2:3…..Let no man decieve you by any means, for except there come a falling away “first”, and that “man” of sin be reavealed, the son of perdition; 4, who opposes and exalts himself that he is GOD sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is GOD.
NOW THIS IS TELLING US SOME VERY IMPORTANT THINGS.
1….IT IS A DECEPTION
2….THERE FIRST MUST COME “FIRST”, A FALLING AWAY
3….AND THAT MAN OF SIN BE REAVEALED, THE SON OF PREDITION
4….WHO OPPOSES AND EXALTS HIMSELF THAT HE “IS” GOD SITS IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD, SHOWING HIMSELF THAT HE IS GOD
2Ths 2:5 Remember you not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you theses things? 6 and now you know what withholds that he might be reaveald in his time. 7 For the “mystery” of iniquity does already work: only he who now lets until he be taken out of the way.
5-6….. Paul here tell them he was already telling them about what was going to happen and that there were things lacking then at that time, but in time he would be reavealed, but another thing Paus says is that it was a “MYSTERY OF INIQUITY”
AN INIQUITY IS A SIN THAT SEEMS RIGHT SO IT CAN BE CLOCKED IN A FORM OF RIGHTIOUSNESS. And remember he said it was ALREADY WORKING.
The apostle John and Paul, were fighting the teaching of the GNOSTIC’S who taught that Jesus was a God. It was an because it was being preached in the name of JESUS, so it seemed true just as it is today, but it is a Sin a lie about Jesus, it still exists to this very day.
Paul and John were restraining that false teaching about JESUS in their day, but when they were taken away this “INIQUITY” that already existed, slowly begain to take roots in the church as the church began to fall away from the truth.2Ths2:8….and then shall that Wicked be reaveled, whom the lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destory with the brightness of his comming . 9 whose comming is after the working of SATAN with all power and signs and “lying” wonders, 10 and with all deceivableness of unrightiousness in them that perish; because they did not recieve the love ofthe truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them a strong delusion that they should believe “A LIE”
WHAT LIE? …that Jesus is a God. That is the LIE THAT HAS BEEN TAUGHT by the fallen away church. THE LIE IS ABOUT JESUS HIMSELF AND JESUS HIMSELF WILL ABOLISH IT BY HIS OWN MOUTH AT HIS RETURN. Paul also say it was a working of Satan himself that brought this LIE INTO EXISTENCE.
IT IS A “DOCTRINE OF SEPERATION” BROUGHT INTO EXISTENCE BY SATAN HIMSELF WHICH CHANGES the “IMAGE” JESUS into a God, moving him away from the rest of humanity corrupting out exact idenity with Jesus.

Nick……Are you talking about yourself? You are the one who has no scripturial back up and what scriptures you us you twist them as well as what we say. But you serve your leader well he also is an accuser of the brethern, you are the best i ever saw at doing that. You are the number one person here that leads to doubtful disputations Rom 14:1-4. We can’t even have a civil descussion about anything here with out you mouthing off about it, an accusing us of being demons or whatever. My God reward you according to your own words.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO STUDY IT AND GIVE US YOUR RESPONCE MAYBE IT WILL ALSO GET KERWIN INVOLVED, HE HAS A LOT OF GREEK WRITINGS KNOWLEDGE, WHICH MIGHT HELP IN THIS DESCUSION ALSO.

The mystery if iniquity indeed is at work already, but that it is at work is not the mystery, we know this, but what we don’t know is who this man of sin will be. The scriptures speak of 7 heads and ten horns, and they state that 5 are fallen, one is, and the other is yet to come, but when he comes, he will continue but a short time, and from these seven will come the later day anti-Christ. The rulers of these nations were men who because of their position of authority likened themselves to be like God. Of Nebuchadnezzar the scripture states:
Isaiah 14:
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
The scripture also calls this final exalted one, the beast, and the deception that causes people to worship him, as the false prophet, who looks like a lamb but speaks as a dragon (in other words it will keep people from being reconciled to God through the Lord Jesus).

Here is another scripture that may help in your study of Thes 2:2:
Dan 11:36
And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
Marty….. Do any of these Kings you have mentioned actually “sit in the temple of GOD”? Remember it says that he takes his seat in the “TEMPLE OF GOD. My question to you would be who is the only one who sits in the temple of God right now, the only one i know of who now sits there is JESUS . THIS SCRIPTURE DOES NOT SUJEST THAT IT IS SOME OTHER TEMPLE, but the true temple of God, which is in heaven, not on this earth.
