ParticipantEd J,
In Matthew 20:1-16 Jesus states he is speaking of the kingdom of heaven. See verse 1.
In Matthew 22:1-14 he also states he is speaking of the kingdom of heaven. See verse 1.

ParticipantHi ,
Repentance has a broader meaning.
God repented

ParticipantNick,
If you are speaking of Genesis 6:6 and related passage that uses the meaning 2a, “to feel regret or contrition “, from Merriam-Webster Online dictionary. It still made amends by basically starting over.

ParticipantTo all……..True repentance comes from God’s spirit working in the heart and mind of a person, it is a gift from God. Just as it says, “I will take out the heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh (soft heart), and they will be my people and I will be their GOD.”
peace and love to you all………………………..gene

Hi Kerwin,
Yes, people who have there mind made up are very reluctant to consider new information
that may conflict with their preconceived ideas of truth. Please let me know if you reconsider, OK?___________

Hi Kerwin,
Yes, people who have there mind made up are very reluctant to consider new information
that may conflict with their preconceived ideas of truth. Please let me know if you reconsider, OK?I am trying to see where you are coming from as in both the relevant parables Jesus is giving an example of the kingdom of heaven.

ParticipantHi KW,
The kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God are equivalent.
The kingdom currently is limited to Heaven but we are asked to pray that is would also come to include EarthAugust 29, 2014 at 10:36 am#740675kerwin
ParticipantNick,
I agree with you but I was telling Ed what Jesus said.

ParticipantHi Kerwin,
Is that the only connection you see in those two parables?
One guy gets kicked out for wearing improper clothing;
and the other is about how much workers get paid.
Is that it? Is that all you get out of them?
If there’s more, please tell me what else.___________
God bless

ParticipantNick…….I realize that, but it is God’s Spirit that imparts the truth to us, about our sins, that brings us to Godly sorrow, causing repentance and produces the change in our hearts. God the Father is the author and finisher of our salvation. So just as it says “Godly sorrow works repentance not to be repented of”, still stands brother. I know you already know that.
Peace and love to you and yours…………………………..gene

ParticipantHi,
Lk 13.2f
And Jesus said to them.
”Do you think that these Galileans were greater sinners than all other Galileans because they suffered this fate?
I tell you , no, but unless you repent you will all likewise perish”
Earthly events can be the judgement of God.
God allows Satan to administer it as Job 1-2 shows.
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
All are called to repentance to clear the ground for the seed of God. jer 4.3

ParticipantHi,
Acts 17.30
Therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness, through a man He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising him from the dead.
