Nick,
The Spirit is powerful to bring repentance to those chosen by God.
He was not yet born again in Spirit but the Spirit drew him to Jesus because it is food and drink for those that hunger and thirst.
That is how Jesus’ sheep know his voice.

God walks according to the Spirit. Can you tell me what the Spirit is?

Does God knows all things ? well can God do all things ? No for God can not lie ;
but can he know all things ? yes ;but how does he know all things should be the question ,for if we say that he knows all things i could be understood has him knowing evil ,and that he cannot ,for God is holy and holiness does not contain evil, neither righteousness ,
so HOW DOES GOD KNOWS ALL THINGS ? well if You would be God and so no one could change what you do even if some one down the road falls and does not follow the pattern set out by you ,would this exclude that you stopped doing your plan that you set up in the beginning ? of course not ,for no one can stop you right ? no,and so God knows everything what he does since the beginning but the changes during the road does not change his plan but it affects those that have not follow the plan that God set up in the beginning,do you understand this ?
this is said in another way ;you decided through your travel business to set up a trip to go to Rome , you have 50 travel people on your bus ,you stay at the office ,now if the bus as a flat tire that this change the trip planned ? no it just create a discomfort to those that are on the bus, right ,for the bus planned trip will arrive in rome as per schedule ,do you understand ?
I am going to follow this in case you think you did. Scripture states all things are possible with God but it also states he cannot do evil. The second statement is not in the context of the first and so there is not a contradiction.
Knowledge of evil, as in experience doing, is not in the context of the question “do you believe God knows all things”.
Knowledge of evil, in he knows the procedures, but has never been tempted much less done it is in the context but is not evil.
So your issue with God having knowledge of the future and therefore all things is that it appears to contradict free will.
It would only contradict “free” will if will was random in nature but it does not because random will is determined by the roll of the dice and not by the intrinsic will of the person. Scripture teaches that each chooses by their the heart and that God knows the heart. For that reason God foreknows the future because free will is predictable.
April 24, 2016 at 1:54 am#812365GeneBalthropParticipantKerwin…”free” will is not predictable, influenced hearts that drive those wills is. Just as in the case of Adam and Eve, GOD know all along they would fall because he knew how he made then and what drives their wills, and he simply used THE SERPANT AS A “CATALYST” to speed up the reaction, that would over time have accured anyway.
God the Father designed it all, from start to finish, it was nessary for man to fall in order to know good and evil to become more like GOD. Just as it say “look the man has become as we are “knowing” good and evil”. The word “knowing” there is not just knowledge, but it implies “THE WAY”, that knowledge is acquired , and it had to be by personel relations or experiences with good and evil. We must taste both for ourselves to get the balance we all need. This process of “knowing by involvement” is the best teacher, just as the saying goes “experience is the best teacher”, a true statement, no one knows more then the one who experienced it. Evil experiences causes us to love the good, and good experience cause us to hate evil.
God not only created good and evil but he caused it to take place in our lives, to teach us all, in the end it will all turn to his PRASE AND GLORY. HE could have stopped it anytime he chose to, and will soon for a thousand years and allow evil again after that , life itself is a matter of good and evil, and i believe it always will be. We need the tools to make right decisions, but even then it still will take GOD’S SPIRIT PRESENCE IN US, TO GUIDE US ETERNALLY, so we will not ever fall again. IMO
MAN IS NOT SOVERIGN IN NOTHING, NOT EVEN IN HIS OWN LIFE, GOD THE FATHER IS SOVERIGN IN “ALL” THING INCLUDING “ALL” HIS CREATION WITHOUT EXCEPTION. IMO
peace and love to you and yours. ……gene

I am going to follow this in case you think you did.
===================================================I cannot follow you in this explanation ,so could you clarify it ?
April 24, 2016 at 2:42 am#812371kerwinParticipantTerrarica,
Free will is not random will.
Free will is making choices depending on one’s heart not by anything else; for example God does not make one’s choices.
Because free choice are made according to the heart they are predictable by God as he knows the heart. In your point you inferred free choices were random because you see free will as unpredictable.
In another post you inferred that since I have known you for several years that I should predict your answers to some point and that is correct. God knows you and every other human being infinitely better than I do.
April 24, 2016 at 2:44 am#812373kerwinParticipantGene,
You have a non standard definition of free will.
April 24, 2016 at 2:50 am#812374terrariccaParticipantKerwin
you fail to understand that our free will of choices and the behavior within that free choices does never can change the will and plan of God ,
read what I really said and don’t make up your own interpretation as you read it just as you do when you read the scriptures
just like does God really control the deer or zebra that the lion going to catch ? no ,this was his plan for the lion to do
April 24, 2016 at 2:54 am#812375GeneBalthropParticipantKerwin….THAT IS TRUE.

April 24, 2016 at 6:52 am#812380NickHassanParticipantHi ,
Those who are led by the Spirit do the will of God.
Those who do not know the Spirit cannot do the will of God.
God knows the heart of every man by the human spirit that He lends us.

I don’t think for a minute that you do not understand your quote

prov 20.27
The spirit of a man is the lamp in of the Lord, searching all the innermost parts of his being.
April 24, 2016 at 11:22 am#812404terrariccaParticipantNick
that’s good, but what that mean is that what a man think is his light ,his guide ,for he use it to reason ,but the fools say there is no GodApril 24, 2016 at 11:31 am#812410NickHassanParticipantHi t,
Is you own interpretation infallible?
April 24, 2016 at 11:34 am#812412terrariccaParticipantNick
not even close .but i know the scriptures are
April 24, 2016 at 11:36 am#812415NickHassanParticipantHi t,
So why do you condemn what others say?
April 24, 2016 at 11:45 am#812423terrariccaParticipantNick
I do not codemn them but the scriptures does
April 24, 2016 at 11:52 am#812426NickHassanParticipantHi t,
Then leave that work to the scriptures.
April 24, 2016 at 12:03 pm#812434terrariccaParticipantNick
that is what the devil says as well ,and I am not of the devil
April 24, 2016 at 12:29 pm#812436kerwinParticipantTerrarica,
God knows our hearts so how can fruit thereof change his plan?
