Is God not IN you?
Is Christ not IN you?If you do not have the Spirit of Christ you are none of his.
Mindless fluff.May 8, 2012 at 1:57 am#296939NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
Does it also speak of “something other” when we continue the same works by the same power?May 8, 2012 at 2:16 am#296946mikeboll64BlockedNick,
Is that your way of agreeing with me that 2 Cor 5 doesn't speak of God's spokesman, Jesus?
May 8, 2012 at 2:18 am#296947NickHassanParticipantHi MB,
Jesus was not a spokesperson but a mouthpiece through whom God spoke.
Do you not yet believe this?Is God not in you?
How can you continue the work then?May 8, 2012 at 2:20 am#296950mikeboll64BlockedMundane.

May 8, 2012 at 2:41 am#296960mikeboll64BlockedReally Nick?
“Spokesman” and “mouthpiece” are two different words to describe the same thing. And you wonder why I wrote “Mundane”?

“God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us
The Word of reconciliation.” (2 Cor 5:19)God bless

2 Cor 5 NIV
18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.Yes Ed. That verse speaks of something other than the main spokesman for God who has the name “the Word of God”.
Hi Mike,'the main spokesman for God who has the name “the Word of God”' …where do you get this stuff from?
God bless

“The Word was GOD” (John 1:1)

Yahshua did not pre-exist his birth………….
You can keep claiming it until you're blue in the face, Frank. It won't change the fact that Jesus was existing in the form of God, having glory alongside God before the ages that were created through him began, and then emptied himself to be made in human likeness.
Mike,Since you believe that YOUR “Jesus” emptied himself of being “a god” and that this “Word” was “a god” in the beginning, then you must also believe that YOUR “Jesus” emptied himself of being the “Word”, right?

Hi Frank,
So can you give us your understanding of this passage in Phil2?
Nick,It is simply speaking of being a humble and obedient servant to Father Yahweh and Yahshua setting this prime example. Yahshua became a humble servant to his and our Father Yahweh which in turn fulfilled the prophecy concerning his being a humble and obedient servant to his and our Father Yahweh. He was not emptying himself of being “a god” in a previous existence as Mike deceptively believes. I believe that we have previously been through all of this before, right? Sure we have!

Same vessel yes.An ordinary flesh man from Nazareth was transformed by anointing from above.
Now we no longer speak of Christ according to the flesh. [2cor5.16]
The Lord IS the Spirit[2 cor 3.17]
